Jensen for Bowey and 2nd is just madness return! Is that the d market roght now?! Tanev needs to go if so. Jensen is a bottom pair guy on most squads. Good depth guy but still.

For the most part, the boards policed themselves.

The irony of it all is cream puffs talking about team toughness.

- golfingsince

Yeah if the board has a policemen, how long did we go without a cop of our own.

Three years, six million per year with a NMC is my guess.

Ya. I was thinking 5-6 mil the other day. Steady eddy. I’ll be happier if they re-sign tanev. I think they are both career guys and part of me likes it that way even though i want picks/rebuild

Oh please, the first couple years, I was banned every other day. My original account had a lifetime ban.

Haven't been banned in years now.....

- chompsey

My original got a 3 1/2 year ban. Couldn't log in once it was lifted and now I'm Marwood.

If we are forced to protect him during the Seattle expansion people will flip their lids. We cant afford to protect him in 2 years.

I agree and that is a lot to pay for a player with little scoring.

If the Canucks sign him for three years, age 33-34-35, and he plays as well as he has this year, I don't see any big issues with it.

Dear Neem,

Could you please get your poop together and beat Lefty in this weeks fantasy matchup? It's necessary for my slim playoff hopes to come to fruition.

Kindest regards,

If he scored 35-40 points playing 27 minutes a night, against the other teams best players, he's worth that easily.

So you would be ok protecting a 35 year old instead of a 28 or under? We will have Hutton, Stetcher, Hughes, Juolevi to protect at the expansion. We already have to expose one.

Just make it that his NMC kicks in after the expansion draft.

Pretty sure Juolevi will be except. Isn't it 70 NHL games over 2 seasons?

You're such a drama queen he played 70 games last year and 68 the year before. Freak accident this year but he's scored 20 points in 38 games this season. I've always maintained he's exhausted every game because he's the only good option for everything. Surround him with better players and he'll be fine because he won't have to play so many minutes.

I'm perfectly fine trading him if they can get a first round pick but I'm also fine signing him for three more years.....max.

Hughes won't be eligible and I don't think Juolevi will either being on his entry level contract until the end of 2020/21. Not positive on that though. Anyways, to answer your question, yes I wouldn't mind having to protect him. At least at this point.
