50 50 on making it in. It is tough. Starts with a win tonight.

I don't mind if they "sell", Anisimov and Krueger if Kamp is ready to return.

Sure is fun caring about the games this time of the year.

It sure is.

Can CBJ also trade for Stone?
- BetweenTheDots

I’m not sure what they have left to offer in return.

Board Challenge, lets see how many pages of posts we can go thru before we

1. Discuss the merits of trading Gus, proposals and all. He has a better chance of showing up on Empire as he does being traded.

If they'd take Forsberg back that would be good, but they really like the goalie behind Bob right now and I think they will roll with him next year, sign a veteran backup and keep on. I could see them adding another player in UFA, they have some good young talent there. What CBJ is going through with Panarin right now is why Stan moved him. Despite the love affair between Kane and Panarin, Breadman clearly has his money on his mind and his mind on his money. I am very interested to see if his level of play maintains or even improves once he gets paid or does he go Alex Semin? I like him WAY more than Semin, but no one can deny Semin had elite talent, but nothing inside his chest, Panarin has more inside him so I doubt he flames out after getting paid, but if he does he wouldn't be the first.

In every interview with him or with his prior agent, Panarin's first desire seems to be li ving in a big city, money a secondary concern. (After all, he took less money on his bridge deal - what happened to those??? - to stay in Chicago.) Maybe he got a taste for the big market, city life living in St. Petersburg and in Chicago. His GF is a model and he said he wants her to have opportunities. If you've visited Columbus and spent any time there, his desire to move elsewhere is completely understandable.

The cap going up is never a given, if history, for losers i guess, has shown us anything people seem to assume the cap is going to keep going up, but rarely anticipate the drop.

Typically when contract negotiations start in almost any cba its amazing how the owners all of a sudden are barely getting by.

The owners are who they are, and by stagnating the cap i believe they can keep max deals at bay. Plus i don't see any mega broadcasting deals coming to hockey any time soon.

- BetweenTheDots

Who said anything about the cap going up more? I said the compliance buyouts were a result of the cap dropping. I see comprehension isn't you thing

Idk, doesn’t have the same ring but Board of Fairy Tales is more sunny and fun.
- HawkintheD

I think you're right. Could be the Board of Fairy Tales (often put forth solely by the previous blogger, who apparently just made stuff up) that lives in the Land of Make Believe. All in fun, though, of course.

Crickets. Where's the exciting trades? This seems like one of the slowest TDLs in awhile..

Jeremy Colliton said he’s been in communication with Stan Bowman about possible moves ahead of tomorrow’s trade deadline, but his focus is on task at hand.

All healthy players will be in the lineup today. Nobody being held out.

Well they all are. Really need another 8/10 or 6-7 game win streak starting today. Regulation win would be nice.

Wouldn't say it's that good, but the offense has been electric I will agree. I think the coach Antoli Tarasov was one of the finest hockey minds in history, a brilliant innovator and you could basically call him the Godfather of Russian hockey as he literally created Russian hockey from pure scratch.

Watching those Russian teams from back then is video game good. And the ironic thing is despite the calls of Russian teams being regimented like a military machine, what made them special was the creativity, which was spawned by Tarasov.

The 1980s USA win over the USSR is the greatest upset in history period, in any sport at any time.

The coach and the GM are in communication? How about that?

JC probably asked for 5 defensemen.

Even a loss is a win at this point.
