Tough to do when he's getting hit from behind as the puck is coming
- BetweenTheDots

I'm certainly not the biggest Anisimov fan but the 6 on 4 was the perfect time for his size and hands to be in front of the net......knit-pickin I guess. If Saad bags that tap-in ?????

Paying Ward $3 mil a year and start the kid in this game ??????

Defense stinks. Gus'sucks'son should NEVER see the ice 5 on 5.

Jokiharhu is an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, inside a bus ticket.

Delia ? Looks like an AHL'er to me.

Chasing the game all night.
Got F'N Varlamov'd again.
Not the first game he's stolen at the UC.

- philco28

Jokiharju is a 19 yr old that got 10 minutes tonight? He’s an elite prospect that isn’t trusted by his coach, rightfully so? idk. Just imagine if the Hawks had a 4th line that could do anything? They’re basically playing 3 lines and Sikura is a waste of space on line 3 that’s been carried by Saad (but Anisimov has been better lately).

I read today that Hawks are in on Dzingel, that would make their top 3 lines all a threat.

The missed (or purposely not called) grab of Toews arm (twice) that led to Colorado's 3rd goal was the turning point. That was total BS, and Colorado most likely gifted the refs some weed before the game.
- powerenforcer

I heard from a good source Bettman and the NHL hate the Blackhawks.

Or slipped them some edibles before the game couldn't react quick enough to make calls

Exactly......Saad needs to win that battle.
- Hawkytalk

Saad wins the battle if there’s a little touch on the pass. It was a firm pass and he free’d up his stock too late. Tough break but we had plenty of chances. Post on an empty net chance in the first and the inability to stop one of two breakaway chances cost us a point or 2. Gotta Win Sunday.

Go Hawks!

9 goals in 16 games and he's overrated? Chill dude. He's played very well all year for us. Just not as flashy as Panarin like people want him to play. He plays a 200 FT game. He's a keeper

Don't worry the Avs will step on their Richard, a team that is so talented but always comes up short, weak minded team.

I don't understand how people can say goalie loss, Delia gets no defensive help at all. Breakaway, pp down Broadway uncovered, why does Toews play the left shoulder after the turnover he needs to get under MacKinnon and take away his forward progress to the goalie? End the game on a poor pass breakaway

would you rather be watching a team fighting for a playoff (so hard to believe) or fighting the kings for the bottom (which still could happen)??

they will have another scoring drought and the losses will emerge again...

Other than a few mistakes I thought the Hawks played with good energy and for the most part pretty well. But, it's tough to win when their goalie is better than our goalie and you give up a bunch of odd man breaks.

Varlemov was outstanding and Delia was not. Yeah Delia made a bunch of quality saves but Colorado's 1st goal was a softie through the 5-hole and the bad angle shot should have been stopped too although that was more of a great shot by them than a soft goal by Delia. Delia might eventually be the goalie of the future but as of late he's not the goalie of the present. Best thing is CC comes back and Delia goes to Rockford and away from the high pressure atmosphere.

- EbonyRaptor

Stays too deep - he needs to do a better job on shots like those two of cutting down the angle, make himself look big - any other goalie cliches? - he leaves too much air between himself and the iron that the shooter can see and aim for.

I thought young Henri was the best defender out there. Good stick, mostly smart plays. Not sure why he gets only 10.

Hayden is not a good hockey player at all.

Delia a bit off but man is that defensive system bad. Man to man is not going to work at this level me thinks.

Joki made the rookie mistake of contesting a shot and the timing of that likely messed up Delia's read. Youth is on his side you're right.

Kahun loses a D-Zone draw that is subsequently buried.
Koekkoek gift wraps a breakaway. Credit to him for trying to break it up, but dude made a great shot.

Team gives up 7 at home vs Ott, blows a 4-1 3rd period lead in Det (but wins) and tonight are chasing the game from the hop. Defensive frailties remain glaring.

Lucky for this club, there are many games to play.

here is one of those "oh really" stats: hawks hold teams to 2 or less in regulation they are 14-0-4; get this (frank)n defense and pk straightened out and with the way they can score they are a top 6 team...

Seems like Voodoo Varley and MacKinnon circle UC visits with a sharpie.
Both play huge in CHI most times in.

I'm not a Colliton basher or thinks he's in over his head or any of that nonsense - but I do have to question what he has against Jokiharju. Joki played 9:14 tonight - 7:33 less than the next lowest TOI which was Forsling. I mean, it's not like the other 5 guys are flawless ... what gives with that? Colliton coached in Sweden and the Fins and Swedes are hated rivals, but c'mon, that can't be it, can it? This isn't making sense. Help me out here.
