Not a big fan of Simmons especially because he has become a shell of a player he once was and he is looking for a new contract after this season and would assume he is looking for a 5 million contract per year. I would rather us trade for Lucic if they were going for a net front guy. 1 because they can get him cheap and with salary retained 2 I hope they just get Zucc instead because he could be a good addition to any of the top 3 lines. Only way I see Simmons or any power forward type players make any sense is if JR was trying to unload Pearson to get rid of his salary, and if JR had a second deal in place for Horny to be shipped out.

This is what I have been saying, not out of the question it could happen by Monday. Not that he's the reason they suck but he could fetch a big return and give them a chance to change the dynamic of the team.

He and for the most part Malkin have put up points but have been huge liabilities in every other facet of the game. Im surprised they haven't felt the heat from the media a bit more.

Is Tanner Pearson really this bad? I never realized how much he was carried by Carter and Toffoli. But even then why can’t he produce on a line with Malkin or Kessel? I see no use in him being buried on the 4th line.

Honestly, I think it's overdue. Should have been done this past off-season and with so many big rentals available they likely need to wait now for the offseason.

There isn't a playoff run coming with the roster they currently have.

It was more of an argument that I didn't feel we needed either, but if we were looking for a net front guy I felt Lucic would be a better pick up compared to Simmonds because if we did pick up Simmonds then resign him he would probably be signed for 5 million next year, he is a right wing, and he would cost more especially since we would be trading with the Flyers. Lucic even though he sucks would cost us not as much, would have salary retained so probably 3.85-4 milloom (the only way I see any team trading for him), and he plays LW. I really dont see a reason to trade for either though unless JR is unloading Hornqvist, but I dont see that happening or a reason to acquire another RW net front presence.

He was flying with Malkin and Kessel. Then Kessel was sent to the third line to try to wake Brassard up and now all three have struggled even strength. Even their play on the PP is affected as they have given up the most SHG in the league.

Pearson, or anyone for that matter, isn't going to shine with Cullen and Simon. Both Cullen and Simon are hard workers but Cullen has slowed down quite a bit and Simon can't finish.

I wonder if this performance put the Sharks 5v5 GA% over .900.

Currently a bigger problem than JMFJ is the power play giving up shorties. Unless that gets fixed this team will have another long off season.

Dont worry. Most of us are sane and don’t think Kessel should or will be traded.

Last night Kessel did everything he could but put it over the goal line. He was everywhere but the puck was bouncing on him and getting away alot. He could of had 2 or 3 goals himself.

What did Malkin do for his misconduct? I think I missed that
