I think with Green it is because he hasn't been here long enough and he has had a crap roster to work with.
His ratings are falling but I do want to see what happens next year.Hopefully it will be a better roster .
The PP sucks badly - VANTEL
Yes I agree some what, but it's the manner in how he deploys the crap, his lack of systems, his refusal to adjust to game situations or team preparation.
You can only blame the crap roster so much, so I'm criticizing the crap roster and crap coaching staff. |

With the talent that they have, I can't fathom why they continue to use the same play.....call a (frank)in audible or something! We all know the play is to set up EP for the one timer..... - chompsey
This is my point, well stated. |

When the Canucks were really good they had Hansen Malhotra Torres as a third line, that's kinda where I see Roussel, as a Hansen type of player.
In order for him to be a Burrows type player you'd need to have Sedin caliber players play with him. We don't have that option with Pettersson and Boeser being matched up. |

I liked his game last night, to me that's a good trade by Benning. The problem is all the skilled guys are stacked up on one line and poor Horvat is always on his own. - LeftCoaster
My problem with Benning is the level of trades.
You have your A Trades top players like PK SuBBan Kane Karlsson Jones
B level trades like Neiderreiter Hamilton Ferland
C level Baertschi Leivo
D level Shinkaruk Granlund Gagner
Jim is a master of the C and D level trades but can't compete when it comes to A and B trades. |

Well, in his defence, he's not been in a position to be trading his first round pick in the past four years and he hasn't really had a good prospect pool to pull those deals off because the Canucks were trying to compete for a Cup under Gillis. |

Trades of the Erik Karlsson, Evander Kane, PK Subban caliber should be done once you've established a core, they haven't fully done that yet. Keep building and tank the hell out of the rest of this year!!! |

Lol, could you imagine the uproar if he had traded for those guys when we weren’t not not yet going through a rebuild? |

Senators get a first round pick back from Columbus. A conditional next year too if he re-signs, which is unlikely. They have two first rounders for 2020 now, potentially three. |

I respect your thoughts and mostly agree. I see Green making changes in game all the time. Example down by one goal Bo BB EP power line, or Jake being moved from 2 nd to 3 rd line.
My complaint is more of why is Pouliot out night after night or Biega ?
This is the funny thing about tanking ( which I am against) You need to lose and suck , Biega and Pouliot are perfect for people who want to get the high draft pick. |

Bennings incompetence comes from trying to rebuild and compete at the same time. Pressure by ownership or not. |

Sad that they have lost Karlsson, Hoffman, Duchene and soon to be Stone and Dzingel.
Its doubtful that those players will be replaced easily by those picks. Its awful to watch but I guess if youve accepted it, the return would be exciting.... |

Go all in.
Pretty good top 6, and absolute dominant top pairing and a goalie. |

Yup, he becomes their #1 center immediately and they have a nice top six now with PLD as their second line center to go along with Panarin. |

Man Columbus really knew what they were doing in that draft.
Benning randomly picked a name out of a hat after they chose PLD. Just so caught off guard after they chose him. |

Keep in mind timing is everything, but Canucks have had offers on Tanev Gudbraandson Sutter in the past and have done nothing.
Now they are getting calls on Virtanen Hutton . Baertschi if not injured would have had interest.
They do have prospects with interest Gaudette Lind Madden Dahlen Goldobin
They do have pieces . I heard the other day Col are looking to move PMD Tyson Barrie and are looking for a top 6 forward. I could see them entertaining OJ and Jake . |

I wont dive into the returns to the others, cause he deserves all the flack for those, but in relation to, and overall, I like the return for Duchene. |
