Yup. We need to move on. Get picks and trade em both.

Management really needs to start getting ahead of the curve and stop being behind it. These last few year really shows what below average management does. Yes we have some good pieces but we are so far behind where we should be. The team is more exciting yes but without marky playing lights out for 2 months I think were last in the league with Ottawa.

It is not going to happen , in fact Dreger is reporting Edler is close to a new deal. It is probably not the way it should have happened but once again the team seems forced to make a decision.

That's the thing about this site.

One group states an obvious flaw about a player , then the next group comes in and over states the first groups comments . We call them the complaining about complaining group . Both groups will escalate it for pages , day, then weeks .

Canucks have been tanking for 7 years and again not selling off expiring ageing assets.

We have a chance to probably pick up a first and a prospect for Edler . We have two young Dmen stepping into the slot and covering big minutes in Edler Tanevs once again oft absence .We have prospects that are ready and tons of cap space but once again will sign Steady Eddie for multiple years.

I got Hertz's comments I knew what he was talking about I didn't feel the need to dissect it for finding an exact timeline of when the event started.

As a canucks fan, dissapointment is something I'm used to. The only difference between edler and all other assets the canucks had waited way too long to part with, is that Edler is a serviceable dman on a team with very little. I'm not upset hes not being traded, I understand why he isnt or cant be, but on a team trying to get younger and faster, giving term again to a 33 year old dman isnt the route I had hoped management would go. I see and understand and agree with an extension for him though, I'll just disagree on term.

IMAC on Edler : I think there will be a frame work by Monday but am not sure if it will be signed that day. It's a pressure point and the Canucks want to know what Alex wants in term. My understanding is the term will be gentle no matter what.

Benning took over a crap team that should have been rebuilding 5 years ago. In 2012 Canucks lost the first round of the playoffs 4-0 to the Kings even though they they won their 2 nd Pres Cup. We knew back then changes were needed .

If it makes you feel better change the word Tanking to Incompetence or Mismanagement .
