No way, this is year 2. Almost 3 if you count Stepan as the first domino to go - Slimtj100
Not year 3. |

You have to go by when they stopped competing, that was definitely at the TDL last year |

I’m going by getting top 10 picks via deals. That happen with Stepan. There is no way in hell this org says this is yr one of the rebuild, no chance in hell of that |

I'll say year 2. I'll agree there. |

“Rebuilding on the fly” was the term used, that tells me it started with Stepan. That may have not been said til last year, with the letter and all, but the ball started rolling with Stepan trade.
I also say they try and contend next year because of rebuilding on the fly thing. They just need to get Hughes and seal it as finished |

Yeah but that came after he was traded. So this is year 2. 3 years ago they Montreal and Ottawa in the playoffs. They traded for and paid Smith. Rebuilding teams don't do that, |

If I had to choose one or the other, I'd say year 2. They still did want to compete though, so I'm not quite sure you can 100% count last season. If you start it the moment you traded a person for youth, you could almost make the argument that it would have started with Brass being traded for Zib, but that would be 100% false. I'm not sure just because we traded Stepan, it started there either, but it sure helps that we made that move when we did. |

If Nashville lands Matt Duchene from Ottawa, expect Winnipeg to make a major push for #CBJ Artemi Panarin. #GoJetsGo would hate to part with him, but possible Columbus native Jack Roslovic could be part of the return package to Blue Jackets. |

I meant after the season ended tho, like they took one more shot before that (by adding Smith). They said themselves let’s start a rebuild that summer, Stepan was traded in yr one of it..Nash Mac in yr two...now these guys in yr 3...I’ll give you that’s its the second yr, reluctantly lol, but no way is this yr one |

No Tj. Derek Stepan was a Ranger in 2016-2017. It can't be year 3 man. It's just not possible. Stepan has only been a Yote 2 years. |

Who should the #NYR draft if they stay in this 8-12 range?

In my mock draft (shameless plug: http://www.espn.com/nhl/i...-all-31-picks-first-round …) I had them taking Alex Turcotte -- another center, which I know they have a lot of, but I think he has some high-end hockey sense. Peyton Krebs or Matthew Boldy could be there in that range as well.
Woof. Get to the bottom quicker. |

If they don't win the lottery and draft either Hughes or Kakko I will find you and I will kill you.

Just cause someone gets traded doesn't mean its a rebuild. Stepan got traded for a way better option. That has nothing to do with a rebuild.

Listen. Plenty of other good players besides them. Broberg, Podkolzin, Zegras, Cozens, Kaliyev, Suzuki and Byram etc. Boldy is ok. Turcotte and Krebs are not ideal. |

Lias Andersson is projected to be 2nd or 3rd line center, on the high end. Idk if can be "way better". |

Points wise, probably not. I'm saying "option" in the sense of how the team is going forward from that trade.
You can't think Keeping Step and if we still had him would be a better option? |

No we moved at the perfect time for that contract. But even Jimbo, who has been Team Lias since he was drafted is now a little concerned he might not pan out. So it can't be "Way better." |
