I give you 4 full seasons before results better turn around
And I am being generous - TPC
I honestly can't stand seasons like this. You watch the games, and even when they win, you kind of know that it's hurting them. It's hard to watch to be honest, because it's not natural watching a team knowing that winning games ultimately hurts them.
I just want the team to get competitive again sooner than later. |

Howden on IR. Rangers at 23 for tonight.
Why did they just put Howden on IR? - tomburton99
Had to clear room for Andersson. They were at 24 players, needed to get to 23. |

Same...but if they are shipping out Hayes and Zucc....I don't see the light where it happens in the short term.
I am not sold on a lot of these Rangers prospects. A couple of nice ones but idk man, why rebuilds scare me if you don't win the lottery |

They have to have good veteran middle age players (guys between 25-30). They can't just roll a bunch of 18-22 year old's into a lineup without a good veteran presence. I thought guys like Hayes and Kreider would be the types that would be here through a rebuild. Not thrilled about losing Hayes.

Agreed...hopefully they hang onto Kreider and Zib
Give Kreider a new contract this summer |

Rebuilds often involve burning it to the ground. The key is surrounding them with good cheap veteran talent from the get go. What you worries are is why you need a ton of lottery tickets. Statistically, some will flame out. If Lias is the only 1st that flames out, that's actually beating the odds. I think we are closer than we want to admit. If we had even a league average defense, I'm not sure it would be a stretch to say we'd be on the fringes of the playoffs at the present moment. We need guys to make jumps next year. If a couple of Chytil, Buch, ADA, and other young guys make jumps next year, we could improve a lot.

For all of us advocating for another sell of this year, I think we might have some sellers remorse. NYR will be worse next year. Keys cogs on/off the ice will be gone. 2 more guys from the "old" guard will be gone. The leadership on this team is going to be lacking.
Quinn's worth will be on full display the remainder of this season and next. We are all getting what we wished for......lets see if we like what we get!? |

No one is taking in account the UFA market for (frank)s sake, they have money and players to buy. I know I’m in the minority when I say this, but I think this weekend and then this years draft ENDS the rebuild. Maybe I’m nuts and I like it that way
They will contend next year...Lock. It. Up. |

Tank for two more year. Get Staal, Smith and Shattenkirk outta here. Bring in the blue chips, spend the money on better UFA's. Dynasty ensues. |
