How awesome would it be if he agreed to waive his clause all the sudden hehehehe
San Jose has nice weather and is good for good hair

Id prefer Staal and Shattenkirk waive theirs first

Don’t look now but Minnesota is in the last wildcard spot and every team in the West besides LA is within 6 spots of the playoffs.

Could Minn really sell while they’re currently on the playoffs?

They got roster players in return, I see what your saying but how could that make the fans feel if they start dealing for picks. It’s not like Nino and Coyle were killing it this year.

Yeah they got roster players in return but they lost the Nino trade. The team isn't bad enough to be a lotto team but isn't good enough to compete for a championship.

Ya I thought the Nino trade was dumb when they made it. I always liked Nino but he hasn’t lived up to what was expected of him, he had another goal tonight though.

It’s one of the reasons I want Bennett, change of scenery can do wonders for guys. Bennett has all the skill, maybe just needs a change of scenery. Look at guys this year alone, Nino, Lindholm, D Strome (all top 5 picks that hadnt lives up to expectations that are thriving with their new team this year)

I wouldn’t mind getting someone like Bennett, but just remember that we already have one of those guys in our Strome. Guys like Nino and D Strome are often the exception than the rule.

and just like Strome, Bennett is getting closer to being eligible to be a UFA

he's a RFA this summer eligible for arbitration

Rangers need to acquire picks or young guys in their entry level deals

healthy scratching Fredrik Claesson, Boo Nieves, Brendan Smith and playing our three big trade chips is a major head scratcher for me

unless there were scouts of teams in the stands that requested these guys be in the lineup so they get a final look at them

Seriously, McQuaid got hurt on the first shift of the game, why risk it?

I heard that a million times from my dad as a kid. He also would say “if your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle”

It's flawed logic for sure, but maybe the team was hoping someone was going to have a big game in front of the scouts, causing them to up their offer. It's the only real explanation I can think of.

it didn't make sense at all

two defenseman that could have played instead of him

whatever though, this deadline is about what we get for Zucc and Hayes, at least they got through unscathed

I only heard it in my family growing up, though I remember one time I was out somewhere and some random guy spewed it, I was almost on the floor. I could barely contain myself.

At this point would one game change scouts opinions on Zucc or Hayes? Just seems dumb to me overall
