He;s never gotten less than 60 points in a full season. This guy with more PP time can hit 80+ IMO. In fact, I think he would have this season.
Kid has fantastic talent. That contract is a steal. |

Only because so many have locked in their "Willy is millions overpaid and needs to be traded". I warned them they were judging him way too fast.
The reality is, Willy wanted 8.5 per and Dubas got him down to 6.9 million. Fantastic contract. If he starts proving he can play C? Contract is even better. |

Rumblings of a trade between the @Senators and @BlueJacketsNHL Players removed from the ice with the AHL club this morning. NO information in terms of what level of deal this might be. Stay tuned. @NHLNetwork

Sens could find themselves with a sudden much better future with these 2 trades. |

We'll see, obviously I hope you're right. Johnsson and Kap have already scored more goals 5v5 this year then Willie did all of last year. He's got a pile of assists from playing with a generational talent. I would like to see him start to pile up the points playing without him. He's looking good, but he needs to start to score for him to be worth his contract.....saving it for the playoffs maybe. |

I think if they are trading for Duchene then they aren't moving anyone. They are going for it.It would make zero sense to give up major assets only to trade Panarain.
They will be very bad next season. |

And Kapanen is on pace for 50 points. Willy has never had less than 61 in a full year.
And why can't Marleau or Hyman score with Matthews? That's a bad excuse. Look at Willy play. He's the real deal.
Almost all of Matthews wingers are struggling to score. |

Imagine if Willy's a centre making 6.9 million per who can be PPG? LOL. People thought 6.9 was a ridiculous overpayment? - RogerRoeper
Whenever he reaches a ppg, that would be great.
Not close right now. |

32 pts in 39 gp in Bridgeport..
The islanders hate him, so by default we should like him.
Get him for the game on the 28th and put him on JT’s wing...

So hes never hit 62 points.
Hes currently at 12pts in 32 games
But he would have hit 80 for sure this year in 82 games?
Dunno about that.
He's playing great lately and only has 5pts in the past 11 games.
But if he ever does.....its only a positive for us and the leafs |

You and I both know there would not have been those struggles if he didn't miss training camp/preseason and 2 months of the season. The stats are irrelevant.(He's also been playing very few minutes which would not have occurred) |

I think he's right. I don't recall who it was who was posting the supporting information for Nylander's zone exits and entries, but while I'd always known he was a good puck carrier, I'd never watched that very closely. You really notice it. He enters the offensive zone with puck control better than anyone on the team. He has excellent vision, is a good passer, and has an above average shot. If you put him on the ice with other threats to score, he should easily exceed his .75PPG rate. |

I think Nylander has the potential to be close to a PPG player. Maybe not consistantly but him getting 80+ points once or a few times is definetely a possibility.
I also think he's a complete wussy that needs people to do the dirty work for him to be effective.... and I have no faith in his ability to thrive in the playoffs because of it. (Pacioretty had the same problem)
But that's just me. |

No one said millions overpaid.
I beileve people said he would be a piece needed to use in order to get a top 2 D.
For me 6.9 was only 400Gs more than i wanted him to sign for. |
