Jim Rutherford is a great GM when it comes to initially building/saving a roster. What he does not do well is recognize a closing window and what players need to be jettisoned to remedy it.

I suggest anything in the last 4 years by James Tanner personally... especially when he went full racist during the Trump campaigns.

Hahaha this blog.... Is it the climatic conclusion to RW's JJ hate?

To my eyes JJ guy has looked a smidgen better now that he's on his natural side...still not overall good though haha. And what happens when Maatta comes back?... Rudy who's looked pretty good will get scratched and JJ will be on wrong side again.

Reading this brought tears of joy to my eye. Almost every adjective in this rant could be applied to mr Wilson. I doubt he even sees the hypocrisy

It's a pretty good roster as it stands today. The team has under-performed if you ask me. Hell, I think Sullivan has done a worse job than Rutherford. Case in point.... Ruhwedel is a somewhat competent bottom pairing RHD. It's been obvious for months the lack of RHD was killing them. Sullivan watched Oleksiak, Rikki and Johnson murder that role for 3 months before giving Ruhwedel some games. It made zero sense.

If the season comes crashing down, JJ is going to take an undeserved oversized bite of the blame....which shouldn't be the case. That's why I hate articles like this.....it's too obvious. JJ is the easy mark when a bunch of players deserve a share of the blame.

Some other things that I blame... Malkin going through a funk. Kessel going through a funk. Hornie going through a funk/concussions. Schultz getting hurt. Murray being a sieve. Sullivan's incoherent lines. Brassard skating like he tore his vagina....etc....

Not very often I give Wilson credit for his blogs but somehow he still gets people to read about Jack Johnson over and over and over and over and over again..... and no I didnt read the blog, never do anymore, just the comments. We desperately need more Johnson blogs please wilson! Lets keep going over this 50 more times
