Wilson got 4mil per as a 35pt player
I know that was probably too much,
but it’s also the comparison Ferland will likely use
This is now his 2nd year in a row where he will score over 20goals
Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a 5x5 deal from someone
If we did sign him,
I’d like to stay under that number

And he provides that physical element as well

He’ll be 29 at the end of that deal
Considering we’d have to give up a 1st + for him...
Are we just keeping him for 1 year?
Or are we re-signing him to a deal where he’s in his 20s for only 1 of those seasons?

Okposo and Lehner considered suicide while they were here. Berglund walked away from millions not to play here anymore. I know they all have their individual circumstances but, kind of a pattern, right?

Give it time, on both fronts. Kane's in a much bigger area, where a good portion of the population doesn't know who he is, nor does it care.

O'Reilly's problems here didn't manifest themselves until Year 3.

Both needed changes of scenery and got them. You can't discount that.
