Lucic is brutal
If u want to acquire Puljujarvi...
do it for something like Nylander +
Don’t take back a horrific contract to get a deal

- jdfitz77

That's actually not a bad trade proposal.

I don't even know if Buffalo would need to add.

Disappointment for disappointment.

Hell, that's what the JVR for Schenn trade was.

And it worked out pretty well for at least one of the teams...

Kane was traded because the owners wanted him gone - not GMJB fault

RoR was moved because he wanted out and other teams knew it. In a year or so when RoR losses a step we are going to be laughing about not having that contract on the books.

GMJB was never building for us to be good this year. He has done his best to get rid of dead weight and longer contracts and replaced it with cheap assets so we can spend our assets on players with term to help us down the line.

We were never going to be good this year. Never.

Never once has botteril said he was trying to make us good this year.

He said a number of time during the offseason that he was going to build for the future and clean up the roster and he has done exactly that.

GMJB is the opposite of GMTM and I would rather be bored than mortage the future for some intersting trades

- Shadman306

Meh...that is the narrative.
The fact is he single-handily has brought in $36m in virtual deadweight
Bleauliue, Pommer, Scandella, Sheary, Hunwick, Bergy, Sobotka, Tage, Wilson.
Yes he dispatched some deadweight, but to give him all credit without objectively looking at the utter crap he has brought in is wearing rose -colored glasses, eating juju beans, and looking at unicorns in the rainbows.

All the crap he brought in will be gone in 2 years.

And what will remain is the roster he is yet to build through picks prospects and trades for players with term

We should trade Eichel to Montreal or Boston so he could absolutely own Buffalo for years the way some people treat him.

Once again toasting Botts for a year and a half on the job cause he couldn’t turn water into wine. If the guy drafts well this team is set up for years. There are tons of UFA’s available that can help in the short term while the picks develop.

Guy I agree the contract is garbage. The idea of the trade is to obtain needs on the cheap.

A horrible idea, follow up with a better solution then. Productive conversations can and usually have disagreements, they can continue as long as both are bring ideas to the table.

I think a big reason most on here have trouble with you is your inability to provide solutions after your “creative” responses

You know when you're on top, everybody wants a shot at the belt.

Go back and review the comments. Am I the one saying anything derogatory to the other posters? No. Dudes like Homie and Coyote Ugly are just a little thin skinned. Fragile. Like the lamp from A Christmas Story.
