Carolina's post-game celebrations average 2 minutes and 14 seconds, so I'm guessing Lucic will simply use that time to skate from the blueline to the gate for the dressing room.

So I am going to Vegas next month for March Madness. do you think I get a prop bet on the over/under on the time it takes for Carolina's celebration?

No he traded crap for crap and then expected it to be good enough.

He built this team by basement shopping, and shockingly this team is heading towards the basement, again.

Also traded 2 guys who have a combined 110+ points. (Knowing they needed to go)
For
25 points.

He has not done a good job at bringing in talent to help this roster in trades.

Kane was traded because the owners wanted him gone - not GMJB fault

RoR was moved because he wanted out and other teams knew it. In a year or so when RoR losses a step we are going to be laughing about not having that contract on the books.

GMJB was never building for us to be good this year. He has done his best to get rid of dead weight and longer contracts and replaced it with cheap assets so we can spend our assets on players with term to help us down the line.

We were never going to be good this year. Never.

Never once has botteril said he was trying to make us good this year.

He said a number of time during the offseason that he was going to build for the future and clean up the roster and he has done exactly that.

GMJB is the opposite of GMTM and I would rather be bored than mortage the future for some intersting trades

Asking a 3rd line WINGER to be the 2nd line CENTER was a stupid freaking idea
*someone should’ve told Botts about the Ville Leino signing & how that same scenario was an utter disaster

Idk if his hands were tied or not,
but as i said when the trade happened...
We should NOT have taken back Berglund or Sobatka

All u clowns who argued with me about it can eat sh!t
I freaking told u guys

A GOOD GM WOULDVE GOTTEN DRAFT PICKS FOR TAKING THAT MUCH SALARY. JB GOT BUTPLUGGED BY ARMSTRONG.

JACK TO ME IS EQUAL TO A HAWERCHUCK. AT HIS DRAFT POSI'D EXPECT MORE G'S THAN A'S. I THINK HES A SPOILED BRAT, TRADE HIM, HES YOUR BEST CHIP AND FUNNY IT MIGHT WORK.

A. Expecting him to trade crap for not crap seems overly optimistic

B. Considering pretty much every asset he’s acquired outside of Skinner, Dahlin and Mitts is in the form of a draft pick or prospect still, I’d say he isn’t close to being done building

Offseason dream acquisitions...
FA's
1)Stone 7 years, $8.5m
2)Dzingle - 7 years, $5.5m
3)Strahlman - 2 years $3.5m

Hockey Trade
Risto + Sobotka for Trouba (signed)
Nylander + ? for Puljujarvi
2019 7th to Sens for 2020 6th

I'd love Hayes, but am counting on Mitts to take the 2C in 2020-2021 and Hayes at say $7m is just not going to cut it on 3C

I'm done here fvckers (mic drop)
.
.
.
Picks-up mic...who the hell is running the gd middle-east? My next project.

- IonSabres

Stralman signs with a “contender” at that price, not us
Tampa could actually afford him for that

Otherwise, great stuff

I’d still go after Hayes
6mil is a lot for a 3C...
but what if it’s more like a 2a 2b situation?
Hayes (and Brock Nelson) can play the wing also

Save his breath that two years of Botterill and Housley are possibly going to be worse than two years of Bylsma/Murray.

Discuss.

4 more years after this one, at a $6 million cap hit.

Good luck with that.

- Atomic Wedgie

I can see why ppl think we need to get tougher
But NOT Lucic
That’s a brutal idea

I’m sure we can find a not 30+ year old with a terrible contract to help us out
Ferland comes to mind

Holy poop dude.

Do you remember how this went?

Murray gutted us and we got marginally better for a year and then had a disaster on our hands with a shallow roster and NO (frank)ING CAP FLEXIBILITY OR ASSETS TO IMPROVE

I mean holy (frank) is this what we want again?

Murray absolutely fvcked this team, Time and time again you are correct.

His first two years point wise may be better than two years of all Botterill.

It might make sense for a team that is perennially under the cap, but Sabres aren't usually a team with a lot of cap space, no?

Lucic and Pjufifjfifuffjijijiji for Carolina's 5th rounder.

- Atomic Wedgie

No thank you.

We don't have the capacity to buy out Lucic AND Darling. Semin's buy-out is still on the books.

Lucic is brutal
If u want to acquire Puljujarvi...
do it for something like Nylander +
Don’t take back a horrific contract to get a deal

Sorry dude... your idea is a bad one

I’d sign Ferland as a UFA
NOT trade for him

Please LMK where i said “trade”

I’m not advocating going full Murray again.

But I can’t be concerned that every player that was brought in via trade or UFA except one has been fairly awful?

Ah.

You know he's asking for $6 million+ right? That's why the Hurricanes were considering trading him. He wants too much money.
