As i watch the power play, i really enjoy the passing, the more aggressive the PK the quicker the puck is off of each players stick.

I believe they are trying to duplicate this in the defensive zone but players are not getting into those spots or are not sure where to be. I just wish one of the dmen would stay in front of the goalie instead of close to the boards or behind the net.

I do. I think Stan now sees a reason to make a splash maybe not a huge one but one that helps this team for a playoff run.

The defense at this point is what it is, unless Seabrook and Keith get moved, Stan isn't going to do much their considering he has his blue chip defenseman.

Stan is going to try to improve his top 6 and top 9 . If he can get a Duchene and dzingel both signed for 12 million total that's a win win without breaking the bank.

when i see how the Isle turned around their crappy D from last year, makes me wonder if Gus and rest of D/team can be coached up

We all know this team teams needs a veteran top 4 D and 2-3 depth forwards.

Don't rush the D prospects and if Sikura is the best Rockford has to offer, heaven help us. Don't think Fortin, Highmore or Edjsell are the answer.

Other than Tampa, Blues playing the best hockey of any team in the NHL right now.

And their reward will be a 1st round matchup with Nashville or Winnipeg.

I think your over playing the term 3c. According to reports Duchene wants out of Ottowa, now why would he not sign here ? You have 2 wold class players a original 6 team a great city , fan base and if the money is right. Also unless Saad is moved which that is unlikely you'd have Duchene centering either Kane or saad . Therefore you have a solid top 9 and he can play lw.

Anismov won't be here come next year , so for Stan to acquire Duchene that fills a hole nicely.
