Regarding the next game, if Gudas is suspended, that means Ghost and AMac probably remain in the lineup. It’s what to do with the pairs? Myers added? |

One Ghost actually tipped in no? And off the draw Ghost wrapped a puck to noone, Mac didn't have his guy and they scored. Ghost was very much the culprit or had a hand in a couple goals last night. - ClaudeFather
On the first goal against, MacDonald was double teamed in the corner on the puck while Gostisbehere stood and watched. Gostisbehere then failed to get out and cover the shooter and made a weak attempt at blocking the shot. I love Gostisbehere as a player and I'm not ready to give up on him but he needs to get his head out of his ass. I'm actually hoping that the speculation that he's dealing with some kind of injury is true because the other side of that is not good.

Well that is dumb of them as everyone should know Internet GM's always know as much or more then actual GM's. - opeth_pa
I know silly right? If Fletcher was smart, like Chayka, he would start scouring the web looking for the talent we all know is there.

Hart was due to have a clunker, but lately it seems that everybody has clunkers when the play against Tampa. Please separate Ghost and Amac. That pairing just doesn't seem to work well. Sitting Amac for a game or two and playing Meyers wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. - Thors-Hammer
Playing Myers with Gostisbehere is not really a good idea. Gostisbehere is the player that deserves to sit not MacDonald. He has been hanging out MacDonald to dry.

Mac lost sight of the puck. Killhorn was at an advantage because he was facing towards the net whereas Mac was facing killhorn. You do have to factor in knowing the pucks location when tying a guy up. If the puck isnt there he probably takes a penalty |

The whole article is a dumpster fire. Why, because it is based purely on ree ree Analytics. The fact it even mentions Charlie O’Connor, who is James Tanner of the Philly area. - Glak18
Someone should inform The Athletic that they hired a guy who doesn't meet your high standards. |

That's the issue on that play. MacDonald should forget about the puck and seal the man off or tie up his stick. As a veteran, he should know better and he needs to be better in that situation. It was too easy for Killorn.

while I agree Ghost has been the worse of the 2, AMAC has been struggling almost as much. AMAC has been falling and making bad reads. Each is feeding off the other. I actually think both would do better with Myers. Myers will play a simple game and has size and is quick to the puck. Ghost is just slow and yes I hope it is an injury. It is really his straight ahead speed, he should stay on his edges as much as possible. AMAC tends to back off and that makes him slow to the puck. |

The pen refs and tampon refs gettin a hearing for blown whistles and a phantom goalie interference call. Gudas gets a free week in Vegas! Paid by Bettman from his own pockets. 😇💪 |

MacDonald has had a few plays that he could have played better but overall he has been playing well in my opinion. MacDonald is not struggling in his play overall.

I had really hoped that #13 on Tampa would be fined for his dive at the beginning of the 3rd. That was better acting than a B rated movie, but an extreme embarrassment to the game.

MacDonald is struggling so much he'll be out of the league within a year. Just like Lehtera and Manning before him. |

False narrative. Good hockey men that have been recycled over and over again across multiple organizations are the clear authority on hockey.
I’ll trust the hockey guys. - StepfordSam
The funniest part is that these analysts were hired by the Wild when Chuck Fletcher was GM. So the genius known as Glak18 was actually mocking the idea that Fletcher would do something as Flyers GM that he has in fact already done on his previous team.
https://www.iowawild.com/...o-get-most-out-of-players
Mandrycky and Andrew Thomas, the Wild’s leading data researcher, are the ones responsible for coming up with “a lot of stuff.”
Chuck Fletcher, then Minnesota’s general manager, hired the two analysts who had attracted attention through Thomas’ development of the website War on Ice, which tracked statistical information from NHL games. Mandrycky, a Georgia Tech graduate, had joined the staff initially as a volunteer. |

Always an interesting argument. Every NHL players career comes to an end at some point. Lots of new players come into the league every year. Your prognostication there has no bearing on how MacDonald is currently playing and really is a silly argument.
