I wouldn't say he's shopping it around but he has to listen, especially if it involves a top 4 LD in his prime - obie
Gotta agree with Bash on this one. I don't think now is the time to trade away a 1st. This is the type of move a real contender makes before the deadline to bolster the lineup. |

This. No team is going to trade an up and coming top-4 D just for fun...all teams need them. |

Contenders make those moves for rentals.... you wouldn't include this years 1st in a package if the return was Provorov? Or Lindholm? |

But it's not saying what would happen if Poehling joins the team at the end of this season. - deadpoulet
That's probably why they shouldn't bring Poehling in...
And I dont think the expansion will be that problematic for the Habs |

Lehkonen would've likely missed the net on that Byron goal. - BashCH
Well he kinda missed the empty net |

His no-finish instincts prevented him from shooting in the empty net. |

Why would those teams trade them? If they do, it's because they're re-building or re-tooling. Which is what we're in the process of doing...so what would be the point? |

Only problem is if Poehling wants to be brought in, high profile NCAA will ask for one game like Lindgren did or else they don't sign, finish school and become UFAs |

The guy's confidence is so low that he rather pass than shoot on an empty net.. |

Or because they have real strong depth at that position and need help somewhere else... I'm not saying those guys are available, not by any means... what I am saying is you cant just shut the door on the idea of trading an asset without knowing what the return is...

I would not do it for a rental, but that's not what we are talking about. |

thought Domi passing to Chaput on a 2-on-1 was the dumbest move i'd see all season but this definitely moves to the top. especially with more than a minute to go in a 4-point game like that. |

There's not much I would do it for, but you have to see what's out there...
Erik Gustafsson is having himself a year in Chicago, could he be on MB's radar? |

i think he'll end up dealing a second rounder and maybe something else to try and juice up the PP somehow. if the PP stays this bad they will not make the playoffs. |

Simmonds?
Prices will come back down near the deadline.
I would rather keep both 2nd round picks, but this is a business after all.
Then again, I think the pp would be better without Armia on it. |

They should just ask Chantal Machabée to coach the PP, the guys would probably be a bit more receptive and motivated. |
