And with Suzuki and Poehling close, I wouldn't clog up the middle too much... like I said, Eberle for 5 years @ around 6 would be alright, would give them another right handed goal scorer besides Gallagher

well i don't think that should affect anything. those guys are unknowns and probably still a year or two away from making any NHL impact.

Although he has #attitude problems...

I think that's overrated. I doubt Babcock would have brought him to the olympics he was such a douche. You think Crosby never complained about a coach to a teamate? He got 3 head coach fired.

Never know.... people probably said the same thing about Barzal too... the similarities between him and Suzuki are very much there also... and I see Poehling as future Mike Fisher

He'd fit in well with Drouin then if that's the case.

They can be all moved to the wing, harder to find a center. Eberle is underperforming with a good team

They are still longshot, Duchene has 58 points in 50 games in the NHL now.

Don't think it's a hockey sense problem, more of a problem of consistency in effort given.

And he'll cost 8+ and he'll also stop listening to the coaches if things aren't going the way he'd like.... I'm not saying Suzuki will come in and put up 50-60 points but I would leave the door open for him to do so... and with Kotkaniemi, Danault, Duchene and maybe even Domi at C, Suzuki isnt getting a sniff.... and I know some can be moved to the wing but both Suzuki and Poehling are known to be good centermen, not sure I'd want to mess with that

I wouldn't sign Duchene either. Free agent signing in the last few years have almost all turned into pretty bad contracts. I think Suzuki might be able to come in and slot on the wing right away in the NHL next year.

Suzuki will start next season in Laval, and there is nothing wrong with that

Should be the same with Poehling, but as long as he doesn't have a contract...

There would be nothing wrong with Suzuki in Laval for sure but if the kid comes to camp and earns a spot on a team in the middle of a youth retool, why send him back? Way to early to determine where he'll play next year, that should be left up to his performance and I'm hoping he makes the jump right away

His performance at camp will dictate if he starts in Montreal or not. He didn't look that much out of place this year IMO. He sure got an NHL shot and vision.

Yea man.... and remember he came into to camp as a 19 year old after just being traded this past September, he'll be more comfortable, mature and hopefully stronger this time around

Oh definitely, but his decision making can also be problematic. Not sure if this is part of his "hockey sense", but he needs to focus more to figure out what play would be best in a particular situation.

the last 20-something top line UFA center seems to be doing OK in Toronto
