I don’t agree with neem55 assessment of Markstrom, he is the only reason the Canucks are even in contention with the other 6 teams for a wild card spot. He plays behind the absolute worst defense this team has ever iced, Markstrom is a definite number one goalie....this season.

I don't mind Canucks dumping salary like Tanev Sutter and Gudbrandson (Get a pick in return or young player). There seems to be speculation Canucks might try to hit a hoe run this off season .

The d has been better, healthy and hutton has taken a step. Recently though with edler/tanev out weve been losing. No surprise there.

Markstrom has been facing roughly 4 more shots per game, this season, while maintaining the same save percentage.
No doubt in my mind, that the Canucks wouldn't be where they are without his clutch goaltending...thos season.
