Rittich has only started 11 games since the start of the year. Started 0 back to backs, and of his last 7, only the Canucks game was after a single day of rest, and that was after playing just half a period against San Jose. It's not a rest thing.

The only reason the Flames aren't dominating teams right now is Gaudreau is in his annual post-all-star slump.

? What annual slump would that be? Last year he had 11 points in the 10 games following the ASB, 9 points in 10 games the year before...11 in 10 the year before...

This year, if anything, is so far the anomaly with 5 points in 8 games. And by many standards these days, that's an $8M player

His annual splits pre/post ASB are not really all that different, last year was maybe the most dramatic difference, but Mony was also out for the last 8 games, where JG's production dropped off dramatically with 3 points in 8 games... Before Mony went out, he was better than a point a game following the ASB last year.

Possible ROY candidate in net if he keeps this up. Petterson and Binnington two horse race if STL makes the playoffs...

All I know is last year he was in the race for the Art Ross and the Hart at the ASG and didn't come anywhere close to either. This year he was again in the race for the Art Ross and the Hart at the ASG and is already 20 points back.

If Binnington doesn't have a Rittich-like return to reality, they might be the scariest team in the West. Their roster has always been dangerous until Allen kept screwing it up.

They're one of the few teams that the Flames can't really compete with when they're at the top of their game.

Quito is at 2850 meters, it’s eternal spring here. Never too hot and never too cold.

The woman are hot headed but I got a thing for latinas. It’s a gold mine down here.

Playoffs are a different beast and a lot of times a hot goaltender can steal a round or 2, or everything.

The Blues are peaking now but it does not last forever.

I think the last 2 times we made playoffs we went on a crazy winning streak to make it happen and by the time playoffs started the team was pretty much spent.
