The day Ceci is no longer a Sen will be the first good day I've had as a Sens fan in almost 2 years. |

The Preds have assets to grab Stone or Duchene - and I think Poile should be willing to give up picks, prospects and roster players if he can get a sign & trade deal like he did with Turris. Personally, I'd love to see some crazy deal where the Preds send Subban, Fiala & picks over to the Sens for Stone & Duchene - provided the the Preds could sign them to at least a 2-3 year deal each. It would change the complexion of the team - which I think is needed if they are going to have a shot at the Cup. I know that won't happen, but it would be a fun/crazy deadline and run up to the playoffs for sure. |

As much as I'd love to have Stone or Duchene, I feel the Preds are a a bit further back than one big piece away from making a serious cup run. Don't think we should give up Fabbro or Tolvanen for a rental right now so, as much as it hurts to say, let the Jets (preferably Islanders) have them if they really want them. David Poile seems absolutely in love with Duchene though, so who knows. As often as the Preds have been tied to Duchene the past couple of years, it almost feels like Poile is stalking him at this point. |

Doesn't matter to be honest, my little sister could do a better job. All three of these guys should have been either signed or traded 3 months ago. So that he could be working on Ceci, Smith, and everyone else to try and build this team for the future.
They should have had these conversations done in the summer and known if they were going to resign or not. It's that simple. |

You honestly think you’ll get Stone AND Duchene without giving up one of your top prospects or young roster players?

It should have been. Yet again, more mismanagement with this team.... He needs to be fired asap.
Personally, as a Sens fan, I really don't trust him on trades or signings. Literally the only thing he is good at is scouting. |

He’s 25, that’s not a “young player” anymore, that’s an “in his prime” player

Seth Jones got Ryan Johansson alone; and Adam Larsson got Taylor Hall.
Both Johansson and Hall had deals with term in place. Trouba with this and next year controlled could be flipped for a really good package. |

I agree....but you never know what will happen. Hall for Larsson.
Right shot D-man that can play in your top 4 and eat up a lot of mins are highly coveted. That said he's worth a high 2nd OR a player coming back in a similar situation |

Def not horrible idea, like where your going actually. Again I think it's pathetic to wait for someone to put forward a purpose and then rip it to shreds (unless your going to put forth 1 yourself). Anyways building off this:
To Winnipeg
Matt Duchene
Mark Stone
Cody Ceci
To Ottawa
Jacob Trouba
Mathieu Perreault
Kristian Vesalainen
Mason Appleton
2019 1st round pick
2020 Conditional pick
2020 pick = 3rd rounder. IF the Jets make it to the cup finals in either season it becomes a 2nd rounder. IF the Jets win the cup in either year it becomes a 1st and 3rd. If Jets make cup finals in both years, the Sens will get a 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks in either 2020 or 2021 (winnipeg will have options on each round). IF Stone or Duchene resign then Sens will still get an additional 2nd |
