I understand you can’t win every game, and the recent streak was a welcome one after the first half of the season, but to come out flat, look slow, and flop all over the place is tough to take. Honestly believe they’re too far behind with the schedule they have and the limited number games to do it in, to make the dance. I’d hate for them to do anything that eyes this year to make it and gives away any assets for next year and beyond. Plan your work and work your plan. We’ll judge felch after this trade deadline and this summer.

This is typical Flyers. They sit and get beat up and then they step on the gas for 2 periods. It is only 3 goals. They need the next one.

MacDonald got beaten around the net on the Killorn goal and he has to be better there. However watch the first goal. The puck is dumped into the corner with a forechecker right on MacDonald. He does what he can and pins the puck but watch Gostisbehere. He passively just watches as another lightning player comes in to double team MacDonald to gain the puck and then watch how Gostisbehere floats to the net and makes a weak attempt at a shot block while the shot deflects off of him into the net. MacDonald got beat around the net but he is competing. Gostisbehere is passive and is not competing.

I want the Flyers to make the playoffs. I want Fletcher to make improvements for next season and going forward. It’s up to the players if both can happen. Watching and waiting.
