I would rather have Myers over AMAC and Ghost right now, but I understand the decision.

I agree and it's not like Gordon hasn't seen Myers play this year. Who knows!! I don't want to speculate why, but it is questionable.

Is it really that hard to understand why Gordon wouldn’t put Myers in against the best team in the league?
No doubt Amac is no prize but he does have experience and has played against these guys before.
Maybe Myers would be fine maybe not. I can at least understand the rational.
Plus Bailey brings some size and speed to the 4th line assuming that’s where he is pegged to play.

There must be some other way of watching Amac play where some people think he is a capable dman, but I don’t know what it is. He is horrible and has always been horrible. He fails the eye test and the advanced stats test. He makes every d partner worse, currently Ghost. Yet GM’s and coaches alike keep throwing him out there game after game to commit the same turnovers and mistakes that he routinely makes. Baffling. Morin and Myers would have been regulars for a season or two if held to Amacs low standards.

I was at the game Sunday but had no idea Myers was in until they sent him out alone at warm ups. Was he a last minute switch?

I agree and it's not like Gordon hasn't seen Myers play this year. Who knows!! I don't want to speculate why, but it is questionable.

Well, AMac does have good games, just not as often as he once used to. If showcasing is the objective, then I hope he has a good game. If not, I hope that he has a good game. TBL are going to come in waves and it doesn't make a difference what D pairing is on the ice, they will face talent and speed on all lines they face.

True, but I question the timing of the Talbot/Stolarz trade. A healthy Stolarz, to spell Hart when needed, is better than a really rusty Elliott. The trade could have waited until Elliott got some more action in LHV. The only advantage of making the trade when they did was for the Oilers, not the Flyers. In order to spell Hart now is to either play Mackenna or bring up Elliott a bit early.

The trade couldnt of waited because Edmonton needed to clear space for Sekera. Other teams were apparently interested so EDM might have found another suitor if Flyers tried to delay.
