You guys are just as good as Boston.
- sabreadvocate1

Why do you feel the need to insult them? They feel they are 100x better than Boston.

I'm the only guy on here that loves the divisional playoff formats, because I think regional rivalries
and playoff rematches are the best. I like when two top contenders meet in the first round too. A Leafs vs. Bruins rematch is gonna be amazing.

It would be better if we didn't look like nervous cats every time we play them. The Bruins are not the big bad Bruins like in 2011. They play a little rougher style of game but they're not that physically intimidating as years gone by but the Leafs play such a non-physical game that they look just petrified when they play the Bruins.
If they keep meeting the Bruins they're going to have to figure out how to slay that dragon eventually!

Kapanen and Johnsson available too...yeah that third line needs to be a real thorn in their side..

Nice not being afraid to roll three lines evenly.

Now if we can make the powerplay zone entry look better than a kindergarten cat drawing...yeeesh

- AngryWhiteMale

Yeah without the PP playing well they'll have no chance.

Keeping Pastrnak off the score sheet would help....it would be a pretty entertaining series for sure

Keeping the top line off the goal sheet is a commendable goal but not very realistic. Leafs need consistent goal support and solid goaltending if they want to win 4 games.

crazy winnipeg fans are actually considering to trade laine away.
i understand he's having a relatively bad year - but the guy has one of the best shots in the league.
if anything, this mediocre year helps the jets by getting him signed on a much better 3y deal than originally expected.

I’ll rephrase .....limiting would be a better term to use....hard to pick a winner tho....I’m curious as to what both teams do prior to the TDL if anything

No team is winning the cup playing non-physical and hoping for penalty calls....

Where the Leafs can beat Boston this time is depth. Boston doesn't have an answer for the matchup problems the Leafs represent.

I've been watching Marchand the past few games - he is something else. Puck possession on some shifts was incredible.

It seemed like there was a lot of hype ..at the beginning of the season(media) was leading that charge ..but not exclusively!..with the acquisition of J.T..the young guns being a year more experienced..and as the season progressed through the early stages ..our young players were doing exactly that! Matthews marner kappy and Reilly were looking good!. they have been pretty consistent!J..T has came in as pretty much advertised..and with the recent acquisition of muzzin who has fit in nicely!..they seemed to be ready for a more consistent approach to play ..in saying all that ..any concerns that we're not any further than we were than last year's standings same point totals actually ..a few in the early stages of the season were talking about we could out score teams to gain wins..but the leafs as of today do not have anyone in the top ten scoring ..is it Babcock? or maybe his assistant coaches? or lockeroom culture?..its odd to me..thought they'd be better .Any ideas as to why they haven't really progressed to the next level?
