TBH, i'd prefer to keep Leivo with EP and play Spooner and his apparent speed on the 3rd line with Gaudette and Motte. But i guess they want to put him in a top6 role.

I was under the impression he was slow as duck, but I've never watched to my knowledge.

Sure, but it goes deeper than just the same players. this is a cut and paste from another web site but it's spot on...

In 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 the Vancouver Canucks placed third in the league for most man games lost to injury. The other teams in the surrounding spots each season moved out of the top 3 the following season, but the canucks stayed parked in third for all three seasons.

In 2018/19 so far, guess where we are? Third most again.

That's just not rotten luck. That's a trend. You can almost guarantee it.

See Virtanen who shoulda beem Nylander or Ehlers. I personally was an Ehlers guy. Not perfect but a better pick forsure

Spooner is a great trade for us, saves us a year of contract and is zero risk because he’s a UFA and has everything to play for.

Just dumping that contract is enough of a win really.
