little known fact: JB remained assistant GM of the Bruins even after taking the GM job in Vancouver

I don't watch the Devils that much, but looking at Damon Severson's stats I'd be curious about why he would be an impactful pickup
- he's never been a + player in the NHL
- he currently has the worst +/- on the team
- his CF% is ~mid 40's (both this year and career)
- he's average 0.35 PPG over his 5 years
- he plays 20 min / game average

Yes, he's 6'2" 200 lbs RHD, but that seems like pretty modestly better than Ben Hutton territory...

Anyone have more insight on him?

No those were absurd - not even worth commenting on but the fact that NJ had a scout following us for 3 games seem to merit a discussion.

I sure hope it is Loui for Corey S. We would probably need to add something like a Goldobin or a prospect. With Saturdays garbage in garbage out trade maybe Benning is trying to clean up his bad signings for cap space?

With our goalie situation in Utica maybe Schneider can finish the year there and then be bought out.

Seeing what Clark did in Van before, then with Bob and now Marky, would it be worth it to see if Schneids can resurrect his career? It’d be tough carrying three goalies, but could be manageable for the rest of the season.

Drew Doughty has the 4th worst +/- in the NHL. Must be tough being only a couple years removed from a Norris win, signed to a massive contract, and know your team is garbage
