I got to get back into cooking. The quality of food I’ve been consuming lately has been blah. The wife and I both work so when we get home we make something for the kids and just snack for ourselves. Terrible.

My wife is great but she hates the kitchen. I mean really hates the kitchen.

my opinion is that they wanted/knew bo would get it all along. they didn't want to give anyone a C this year because they felt that the team would be bad and didn't want bo (or any young player) to go through that their first year as C.

the 50 year anniversary dovetails perfectly.

(i'd be very surprised, almost shocked if they gave it to EP. his demeanour, personality wouldn't work well with the media and to be honest that's the biggest part of the job in today's nhl. the on ice leadership and dressing room leadership is shown by words/actions not the letters on the jersey. the players know this.)

I'm a terrible cook if the recipe and directions arent right infront of me and on paper lol. Weekends and stat holidays are great for me to try new recipes though. Too hard to prep and have stuff ready in time while working till 4 or 4:30.

Fully agree. They didn’t want to rush Bo into it/put more pressure on him in a down year (though it’s been much better than expected!) That’s why new guys like Beagle and Roussel are talking to the media lots: vet guys who can handle it.

Plus, just giving that year transition away from the Sedins was in the equation as well I’d think.

Bo will wear it next year.

I don't watch the Devils that much, but looking at Damon Severson's stats I'd be curious about why he would be an impactful pickup
- he's never been a + player in the NHL
- he currently has the worst +/- on the team
- his CF% is ~mid 40's (both this year and career)
- he's average 0.35 PPG over his 5 years
- he plays 20 min / game average

Yes, he's 6'2" 200 lbs RHD, but that seems like pretty modestly better than Ben Hutton territory...

Anyone have more insight on him?
