This is a big game week, but the focus stays the same. Take it one game, one shift and one save at a time. Fun one tonight! Just win this game. Let’s go Flyers!

never got there, courtesy of malkin, who shouldn't have even been playing in the game. DoPS doing their job, as usual.

I didn’t know this was Malkin’s first suspension!😱 Maybe next time when he is an reapat offender.

Just so I've got this correct, Fletcher came out and said the Hart/Talbot relationship had no bearing on the trade...??? Are you kidding me? Our new, highly regarded, GM traded for Cam Talbot based on performance? Talbot was all we could get for Stolie?

I liked the move better because of the relationship. Saying it had nothing to do with it is either blantant bs or just plain stupid...

- cdearth23

Buy low. Talbot is a good goalie. I will question the decision if he is not signed. Talbot is a better Goalie than Stolarz. Stolarz played well but he has limited NHL experience and not known for being healthy

Re: Don Cherry’s comments and the Hurricanes game winning celebrations

I haven’t seen anything disrespectful about any of their celebrations. The Hurricanes needed to find a way to bring back the fun and they did. Just because it’s not something every team does, that doesn’t make it disrespectful.

Personally, I’ve heard more disrespect in various Don Cherry comments than I see in fun game winning celebrations. Good for the Canes to shake that off. Those lovely jerks!

I’m in Attendance tonight!

If we lose tonight, I’ll be the first to admit that maybe we should give up on the playoffs but I’ll wait until Tuesday for that.

If you don't like the celebrations, don't watch the game. No one will miss you. The athletes are the ones who train their whole lives to get to this point. If they wanna celebrate who are a bunch of couch warriors to say they shouldn't. Don't like. Don't watch.

It’s poor sportsmanship and it’s weak minded. It’s no different than Swedish kids taking off their silver medals. Keep the extracurricular crap to yourselves.

Well yes it is laughable but at least it is a start. Malkin’s comments after the swing on Raffl and then again after his one game suspension were very telling. No awareness of the potential outcomes of his action or respect for other player’s safety or the difference between a penalty and a dangerous use of the stick as a weapon. He is finally on notice now.

Blues and Chief on fire! Great 7 game series against a good rag team. He missed one playoff and got fired. Crapstol did the same, but HeX hired him and his College chosen guy was untouchable. 🤮🤮🤮

It's really just cheesey as (frank). Every time I see one of their celebration videos I cringe. They can do whatever they want but I reserve the right to view it as how unbelievably tacky it is.

I don't mind in the team atmosphere after the game is done. Just an elaborate version of what players do when they score.

I think conventional wisdom says if you don't want to watch the celebration, don't let them win.

I also agree that it is corny as hell, but apparently all the principals love it so to each their own I guess.

As far as I know, they only do at home after wins. I would prefer not to see it as I'm not a Canes fan. I really don't care what they do at home for their fans. Kind of like the show crap in Vegas. If I'm in the arena it is fine. I don't want to watch it in my living room.

It's not as bad as Vegas' Kabuki theatre before each home playoff game.

I’m surprised he’s playing at all this year. ACLs are tough and take at least 18 months to feel somewhat normal again. Plus he’s a big kid. I’d prefer they be extra cautious and not push games until he feels 100% normal and trusts it fully again

Can't rush him. It's not like they need him in the line up. Make sure he feels strong and ready to go.
