key word is something, but i would bet that "something" is Not Point for Mitts
- hehateme

It would be Mitts + 2 firsts most likely.

tampa is fine for next season

20-21 they will have to adjust

Tampa is the furthest thing from fine cap wise for next year.

They have $50+ mil in cap used up on forwards next year already.

They've got to make some decisions this offseason. They might just say yes.
- TheHank

My guess is that Tampa will pay a team to take Callahan
And trade Palat or Kilorn for a low round pick to get the space they need

But i figured it was a topic i could throw out to distract how frustrated everyone is right now

Backreading from last night was pretty brutal

No way
They’ve got to make some moves for sure
And convince some guys to sign on the cheap

I think they find a way to keep Point,
but it won’t be easy for them

maybe... Other than that it been a hot mess... Pegulas have been one of the worst owners so far.... That's saying something...
- gordong

The Pegulas have been a godsend to this city. There will be statutes of them in bronze one day.

They have about 9m in space going into next year and have to fill 7 roster spots including point. They have to do something.
- TheHank

they do have to do something...I don't think that includes dumping Point.
look for them to walk away from 2 aging D --- that saves about $7M,
if they walk away from a 3rd aging D ---that gets it up to $10m
If they trade Callahan that is another $5.+M savings...or Buyout saves them $3M

they have replacements on ELCs lined up for 2 D and the Fwd spot.
they should be fine for this upcoming season.

You may be sugar coating this.
Blow-U has been decent for what 10 games this season...he was a complete friggin waste last season
Sheary is producing as a 4th liner IMO, although his style of play probably won't work in that role
Taking on Hunwick for another year in Cap for Sheary was NOT a good move.

- IonSabres

If Sheary ends up with 15 goals, he's a capable 3rd liner. No 4th liners score that much.

No, Hunwick was not a great move, I agreed w that.

I don't want anymore 3rd or 4th liners .
