It's not happenning, but signing Karlsson and then trading away Petry would be great.

As much as I get the idea of selling high, if you trade Petry, you need somebody to step up. Cause the defense is already below average with him.

this team has 2 legit top4 dmen. let's trade one of them...

I'm not talking this year, none of that is happening this year
- obie

You could have been talking about this summer.

Bergevin likes to shake things up. He might be a little more patient the way the team has played this year though.

they're a little thin at every position tbh.

yes they have a few good pieces up front, but nothing special, no elite talent (we'll see for kk). they're fast but small, with limited talent.
still a lot of work for MB

Wouldn't be too heartbroken if they dealt him, be interested in the return... he wont retire Nut, I wouldn't worry about that

I think he's setting them up pretty good up front, obviously its still early in some cases, it's a very young core... it all comes down to the 3 centers, Kotkaniemi, Suzuki and Poehling... they will determine where this group goes

Trade Poehling for Staal? Is that what you're suggesting?

I'd sign him as a UFA come July 1st though, if the price is right.
but yeah, keep your picks and prospects.
