Nuff said. - TheUltimateJet
That statement shows your ignorance. It’s fair not to understand the KHL, but to dismiss it as a result is childish and uninformed. |

How is Vesalainen going to help the Jets win the cup this year? |

fair enough.
btw that "crap" that we got for Karlsson. 1 scored the tying goal, 1 set up the game winner. both looked solid. Not saying I'm happy Karlsson is gone, but it wasn't crap |

KHL is so far below the NHL, it’s not even worth discussing . |

I’m not entirely convinced anything will. Having said that, if I’m getting Stone, I’m signing Stone. The best player to move out for that is Connor, as he’ll get a deal he isn’t worth immediately, and is not close to the Stone we get back |

Lemeiux , much like his father was, has been a tour-de-force on the 4th line for the Jets the last 15 or so games. Tough as nails, tons of heart, tremendous work effort, great hands, blazing speed. I would hate to see the Jets lose him but his price has now risen substantially from where it was even a few months ago. If Zucc ends up being our guy then I feel its a fair price. - jetsnation
I think Zucc for Lemiux and a mid round pick would be a good deal for both sides. |

I hate to say it, but Laine’s malaise has spread thru the whole locker room. It has to be tough to be his teammate these days |

I agree. Maurice is an awful coach! |

I dont mean this as a back handed compliment but when Myers is our best player the past couple weeks you know how bad everyone else has been.
Good game Myers, not blaming Brosient on this one. Everyone else sucked.
So glad Laine looked a little better last game cause it didn’t last long, pure ass tonight |

It looks like it will have to be Vesalainen and a first, because as I watch tonight’s game, I can’t see that Ottawa would want anyone that’s in the current Jets lineup.
WAKE UP JETS !! - bennythehat
Except for Myers and Tanev. It was the Myers/ Tanev show tonight on the Jets side. No doubt a lot of errant stick penalties cost us tonight. |

Laine
Shoot- elite, freaky elite
Passing- sometimes amazing sometimes awful
Skating- barely NHL level
hitting- non existent
Backcheck- see hitting
Forcheck- non existent
Intensity- laughable
Willing to block a shot- hahahahaha
Battles on boards- hahahahahaha
Kid is 20, I’m ok waiting out this but know that he is more one trick pony than any player I’ve seen in a long long time |

Myers has been our best defensemen since the 20 game mark. I hope we sign him to a long term deal soon. |

he is trying to play with talent alone and not do any effort, Ovechkin was the same at the beginning, it will take time and a good coach for him to evolve like Ovi did. |

Laine could be the inverse of Scheifele, where he peaked early and will continue to be on a downward trajectory. See Jonathan Cheechoo.

If you believe the first sentence, you cannot believe the second. He’s the perfect trade for value rental. He’s about to hit his decline, and he’s not worth his current deal. Trade, or walk. Do not sign. |

I’ve watched Ovechkin for 10 years. He was made worse every time a coach tried to change his game, and finally won because he just did what he was best at, and he did it his way. |

Still crap compared to a generational talent. - TheUltimateJet
People talk about "generational talent"
Karlsson WAS a generational talent. Yes I agree the return wasn't good.
All I was saying is that the general consensus is that teams are circling the 3 UFAs and the return should* be much better because of the number of teams in on these players; especially Stone
It's different because the Sens were limited to where they could trade Karlsson (many rosters were set in Sept) and the situation WAS different. Teams knew that Karlsson and the Sens were far apart and him returning was NOT an option. The Sens can still keep Duchene OR Stone and pay a bit more to resign them. Also Stone, Dzingel, Duchene are at the top of their game while Karlsson was coming off a poor year, including significant enough health concerns |

The way this team is playing, sorry their not going to win a cup. They need to get back on track |
