It's sad when the second unit looks better on the power play than our first.

IMO this team is profoundly better if Bjugstad is 3C

Possibly... if the 2nd line looks THAT strong with him on wing... lets see if Teddy or McCann can step up and improve their next contract value with chances for the 3C spot.

I think we should grab Zucc you add him to either of the top 2 lines and he could bring something extra to this team. I do have to say it was a pretty weak call against us which lead to a goal

This officiating is an ABOMINATION! I can almost see them missing the Strome "play" on Rust, but how is Namestikov's kneeing not called? This is EXACTLY what I was referring to in regard to the Malkin baseball swing...at this point in the game I really almost have no issue now if someone on the Pens makes a rash decision to do the same thing to either one of those two Rangers...it's all on the ref's. There were 2 on-ice officials watching Namestikov and saw nothing and Strome's horse collar is apparently a hockey play now.

Call the infractions on the ice and players won't have to take matters into their own hands. This is atrocious!!!

McCann has definitely that the worst been a lateral move from Brassard, but he's hasn't been much better. Bjugstad makes a 3rd line that's much stronger.

Geno just needs Kessel and a serviceable winger on the other side.

Pens opponents have been getting away with even more than usual since Crosby yelled at a ref for a 'missed' interference call in the game at Toronto.

Your 100% right both should have been penalties having said that you’ll have to explain what shattenkirk did to get a penalty!

McCann costs a lot less and is younger... so a lateral move talent wise (on this team) is a win slightly when you gain the cap flexibility and the RFA control.

I'm in no way saying this officiating is biased (yet)...it's been AWFUL is my point. I'm speaking from a Pitts fan perspective as I follow them not the NYR, so the basis for my comment is that this is 3 games in a row in which the Pens have been penalized after a blatant penalty is ignored by the officials. I'm so tired of players who cannot play at the same level as others getting away with murder (Strome on Rust, Namestikov on Letang, Raffl on Malkin, etc.). If the games were called accurately, at least attempt to call blatant crap then guess what...the Malkin swings and tomahawk chops etc would not occur.

I get where you're coming from, but I'm only fixated on results. Result-wise on the ice it's been a lateral move.

I could play the card of 'McCann is young and still improving'

I get it I agree i was also looking at it from nyr perspective and I agree refs are awful! It’s been that way all year so far and I have to say I thought for sure rangers were going to be two men down there no excuse for not calling both penalties it actually could have been three in that sequence

And for the record my comment is not intended for a penalty for the PP sake, I'm saying start penalizing blatant infractions and if player "x" gets called 10 times in 3 games for Namestikov level knees then guess what no team will sign/play/pay them. Think Matt Cooke if we have to...

I agree, I think Bjugstad should be 3c put Pearson back in with Geno and Phil and if he doesn't work try and move him at the deadline

That was holding not boarding? Even the mutant play-by-play guys saw it was a blatant boarding penalty...
