Great game. Only two complaints. Sid and Geno can kill penalties, Load up a (frank)ing line. |

That game looked way closer than it was. PP for Pitt kept it close. Other than Crosby what a bunch of whiny bi!ches. |

Coach Sullivan on @6Schultz6: "I thought he was terrific. You can just see the impact he has. He sees the ice, he joins the rush, he helps the transition game. He is a solid defenseman. I thought he made a big difference." |

I think JR may make another trade soon. As the clock slowly ticks away. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pearson, Simon, JJ (JR will eventually see he isn't good and come up with some statement like he didn't fit our system as well as we would have liked), our 1st and/or 4th pick moved. Rumors point to a two 6 winger and Defenseman. I would love to see both. Honestly I would love to see us get another solid player at winger and one who is not a project player who can come in and help the team right away. |

with the Rags game coming up... is there still potential that NY trades Kreider? that's pretty much the best possible fit winger for the Pens. I would trade our 1st, Pearson, Hallander in a heartbeat. |

Kreider already has the disease that infects the Penguins. He doesn't bring it every game.
Get Stone. Win Cup. |

How's Zuccarello's game looking this year? Seems like a guy who'd fit well with us.
Hayes and Kreider will probably be too expensive for us.. |

I would attempt Pearson for Panik and even retain a small amount to make it happen. |

I would attempt any of those mid-tier rental forwards like Panik, Ferland, or Dzingel. |

Yup. I don’t think the Pens should be interested the Pulijarvis of the world. They need to stop these “change of scenery” or “potential upside” moves. With the diminishing years of Sid and Geno the Pens need proven players. |

Unless they used that cap space to bring back Hagelin. The guy honestly brings out the best in Geno and Phil. |

So, just a thought as I can't sleep... The pens new identity goes back to playing heavy along the boards and cycling from in deep. I like the proposed identity as Sid had his best years playing that game with Kunitz and Malkin is really good at it also. Actually, almost all of our player that we now possess have that ability with two exceptions...Pearson and Phil.
Hagelin is one of the best at that so they'll miss him, but Phil may not fit where the Pens are going. I love the guy, but we've been seeing him fumbling the pucks deep...A LOT! If this is going to be the game plan and everyone buys in...are they better by moving Phil while he has tons of value? |

And, I ask that meaning during this season. The fact that they just dropped out of the playoffs is disturbing. Plus, Phil is showing that he may be losing the ability to carry a line...or even get open with guys who cycle deep. |

I agree. If JR wants the cup this year he needs another player who can step up and help this team right away. |

While it would be unlikely Puljujavi is a savior for the team this year, he is the type of guy id move the first round pick for (especially if Pearson's contract goes with it). This would be the only type of situation I'd be ok trading the first. |
