oh well, that was an exciting last sequence. crosby had two great looks that both were slightly off the mark. cgy is a solid team unlike their first meeting.

It would be nice if they started games at this level. Goaltending lost this game. I think Murray gave up 5 goals on 23 shots. Some deflections sure, but still have to make a couple of those saves.

It's almost something different every game. Tending this game. Bad defense in others. Come out flat in other games.

But I still don't like Kessel playing LW so Bjugstad can play RW. I also don't like Hornqvist away from Crosby or Malkin. Still don't Like Johnson playing top4.

Bad: bounces, a shaky murray, the number of giveaways in the 1st/2nd, ZAR penalty

the latter part of the game gives me confidence this team can turn it on. its just about playing the first part of the game this way. another early one tomorrow, an opponent not as good as the one today but still solid

Yeah you're right, if it's not one thing it's another with this team.

Crosby now has 13 goals, 23 pts in 16 career games vs CGY. 2nd best points % against a WC opponent (*WPG at #1)

Sid came so darn close with that shot that went wide. Valiant comeback but you can't go into the the third period down by three goals against a really good team.

That fourth goal was a killer because the Pens were putting the pressure on and had momentum.

The Penguins didn't play a bad game. They just didn't play with the level of urgency and energy as the Flames did until it was too late.
