You realize they have 2nd change this period... and Petterson should not be expected to dominate top lines... His ceiling looks like mid pairing (but hard to judge overall since hes been with Johnson for almost his entire tenure here).

Despite RW's blog, I don't think the Pens need a depth dman. If they make any move for a dman it should be for top-four upgrade with Maatta out.

I honestly don't know a ton about him other than he's a hard-hitting dman. He's #6/#7 dman, pending ufa and still will get a decent cap hit. I really don't know the math on how that affects his asking price.

I could see a 5th rounder + maybe a prospect.
