I personally have put very little attention towards Rochester.

Most posters here pay little attention to Rochester and I get it, Buffalo is numero uno. I think the farm system is vitally important and Botterill and Randy Sexton have made Rochester and Cincinnati a priority.

And to add to this conversation, Cincinnati leads their division and is second in the ECHL overall with a 34-9-3 record.

Tanking the following season and getting another top 5 pick he’d still be here. If we lucked out and had Eichel and Matthews down the middle we’d be laughing. The Sabres would have been terrible in 2016. Even with ROR we were going to select 6th or 7th if I’m not mistaken before getting bumped down to 8 following the lottery and selecting Nylander. I doubt he would have gotten the hook after one season.
