So far 3 coaches haven’t “been the guy” for Risto.

He isn’t good.

Story of any buffalo fans life. Just getting old. I just don’t care anymore. I have given up my will to have any emotional connection to this team. Sad really because I love hockey and WNY. I just can’t invest any more of my emotions. I’ll still watch but won’t care if we win or lose.

You're right: there is a lot of individual stagnation/regression. It's bigger than that, too.

There was a lot of luck in the streak, but earlier in the season the team was playing better team hockey on a regular basis. Right now they throw a clunker every other game, every third game at best.

And his roster decisions, and in game decision making, leaves every one scratching their head.

Saying that we haven't done a good job hiring coaches yet is not a valid response. You don't keep a bad coach because you haven't hired a good one yet.

This might sound odd, but my biggest criticism of Phillip is that he doesn't know when to take a timeout.... As in, last night, with 17:00 minutes left in the 2nd period, not just after NYR scored their 3rd goal, but the ensuing sh!t-show in their own end...

You call a timeout and you absolutely tear into your guys at that moment. He had to try something and he just stood there looking like a moron chewing his gum.
