The west was much better last year....95 points got you in and in the east it was 97 points.....this year is just a blip on the radar

It's always been coming. The number of bad/rebuilding teams in the west has been growing and this year it's ballooned. The west cutoff is what, 85 points this year? Canes could literally finish 13th in the NHL and still get a lottery pick.

Well I can point to something you would know something about and that is what was the pathetic southeast division no system is going to be perfect but as I said it’s just a bad year for the west....go back to previous seasons and it hasn’t been on this level
