I had season tix to the big, meany-pants Flyers for 6 years, and I can count on one hand the times I've seen players baseball swing their sticks around the ice. - jmatchett383

Malkin is perfectly fine when he is kneeing goalies who have the puck frozen, but can't take a hit? In case he didn't know, the game has been played for decades where players target an injured player at the point of their injury. That is why there are so many UBI's and LBI's listed in today's games. It's a shame he is learning how to be a crybaby from the best! - powerenforcer
Perhaps the issue isn't Malkin being a crybaby, but the culture of hockey. Why should the league or the fans be okay with targeting an injured player's injury, chalking it up as "part of the game". You're an absolute tool. |

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Clevland and Columbus.
I’m leaning towards Philly - Rinosaur
Cleveland still has a little while to go. They fell into the hole Pittsburgh is lucky they didnt fall into around the recession. Cleveland has really stepped up their game in recent years though. Columbus is a really cool city.
Philly's a fun place. Visited there a bunch of times. A lot to do and not too unreasonable cost of living wise. |

Just looking at Brass's stats, still sucking in Florida
Glanced up at his career numbers, I'm not sure why everyone (not just GMJR) was so enamored by him
He's been a .5 PPG player his whole career, except for 2 seasons when he got up to a whopping .66 PPG - That probably also includes playing 2C and significant PP time, that he was obviously never going to get here
Talk his he'd be lucky to catch a 3rd and a B prospect should anyone want him out of Florida

I cant call Wilson garbage and for a man that plays so physical and hits well I cant believe its you saying this.
He's deserving of much more production than his stats show... maybe he's just one of those guys who does a lot right but cant get on the score sheet often. I dont know that I have a enough sample size to draw that conclusion yet, though I'm getting close. - MattStrat
He's played 60 career NHL games and has 1 goal. In today's NHL you can't just be a physical presence. You need to be able to produce offensively. This is why we need a top 6 winger so that everyone else can fall into place. Here's what I think the lines should be.
Guentzel Crosby Rust
Who we trade for Malkin Kessel
Simon Bjugstad Hornqvist
Blueger McCann Aston Reese
Yes I know Pearson isn't in there it's because I think we need to dump his salary in order to get a top 6 wing. I'd go after Duchene, Dzingel, Eric Staal, or Zuccarello.

Why the hell do you live there? I pay 300 a month rent during the winters for snow removal duties. 325 the rest of the year, and allow pets. |

My degree is in international relations and economics, so unfortunately this is where I need to be to at least start my career. Denver and California tend to be pretty decent for it, too, but I definitely wouldn't be able to afford California, and as cool as Denver is, I really hate the idea of being landlocked all the way inland since I'm originally from Puerto Rico and grew up on the coast of South Carolina. |

Even though I think we keep Pearson and steps it up in the playoffs. I wouldn't mind getting Dzingel or Zucc, but I wanted to propose a different direction for a trade. Pearson, Simon, a 1st (maybe even an additional mid level prospect) to Detroit for AA and Jensen. I think JR may go after a defenseman before the deadline. I did think about switching AA for Nyquist because I could see him dominating with his set up skills on the 3rd line, but I went with someone I felt could being some Hagelin like speed back to the team.

That's a huge overpay. AA is a tantalizing player but he's not actually that good. We already have like three Nick Jensens. |
