Nice weather? Where the (frank) do you live?

Nice weather with respect to Pittsburgh.

You know..not snowing, sliver of sunlight showing, nothing falling off of the bridge into the river...solid C+ day.

The last 5 games Simon has 4 shots, is a minus 3, all while averaging 14 minutes a night. He has been pretty bad the past few games. Nothing wrong making him sit a game or 2 and see how he responds when he gets back in.

Blueger sat a game, undeserved, but next game was flying, playing great and scored.

from last blog - regarding Pearson only being good when he's playing in the top 6 with good D-men...

He wasn't playing well in LA this year either.

I always think of Blake Comeau. You put any guy with a good shot and a decent ability to get open for one-timers....they will score 20 goals with Geno. I thought Pearson would fit well in that regard...I just think he's too vanilla.

- YouMeAndDupuis9

I thought Pearson looked good for those handful of games with Geno and Phil, but Sullivan has juggled lines to such a degree that I have no idea if he's a fit for this team. I judge nothing from his time with Brassard. Everybody with Brassard sucked.

If it were me, I'd have him on the second line with Geno and Phil and let them develop some chemistry. Give him 10 games at least. I think he can be rediscover his scoring touch, but not if he's playing with 3 different centers. Just like Bjugstad.....he played 3 different positions in his 1st 3 games.

Fort Myers. It was in the high 70's and hardly any clouds.
I got a great look at it while being stuck in front the computer all day.

Pearson has shown nothing. Guy is invisible most nights. No problem for GMJR to take an offer for him. He's useless, but it was worth the try IMO given the low price.

I'd rather bring Cullen out, move Bjugstad to 3C, McCann to 4C, Kessel to 2RW & Simon to 2LW.

Defense is what it is. Johnson sucks. He isnt going anywhere.

I’m still a fan of Panik. If they could move Pearson for Panik I’d look into what it would take.

Tell me about it dude. It might be the worst bang for your buck city in the Union. It’s not cool enough to be as expensive as it is.

I've had a number of friends move to DC, I've never understood why. Besides the history, it is an okay city. Coming down to visit and see the history stuff is fun, but not worth living there. Amazes me how the entire DC/VA area is expensive despite it being a lot of everyday government employees.

I still think Pittsburgh is the best on the East getting a bang for your buck. Columbus is also a cool up & coming town.

Malkin is the one who should have dove, as soon as felt the punches to the back of his head.

I think diving breaks down into two categories:

- frustration diving. This is when a player embellishes because the refs are not calling anything and this draws attention to it. I think a lot of the accusations by opposing fans against Crosby over the years for diving are greatly exaggerated but most of the dives he does take are of this kind, with him reaching his limit with the abuse he takes. If the refs are not going to call everything I don't have a problem with this kind of diving. If Malkin had dove in that situation it would have been of this type.

- "modus operandi" diving. In this case, diving is essentially a part of the player's game. It is "who they are". They do not need much provocation and will just dive because it is what they do. Players like Avery, Marchand, and Kessler are notorious for this type of diving.

In Malkin's case he never takes dives and instead reacts violently. That is much worse.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Clevland and Columbus.

I’m leaning towards Philly

I like pissedoff Geno. It would be awesome if the outdoor game in the lame stadium series would devolve into a shi t show. Like the kind of game guys don’t want to be one of the only ones not thrown out. Maybe keep some of you soccer moms from watching hockey.
