Please Trade Poms and Skinner at the deadline. This is not your year to win the cup. Rent them out and add another 1st rd pick to your plethora of 1st's. Tampa and Toronto are set to collapse in a year or two looking at their upcoming contracts and the fact that they are at the ceiling. So rent out your two UFA's, and come back next season with more young, cheap talent.

Largely because I personnally attach zero, zip, nadda, nothing in value to Bustlander and would take a flyer on JP.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal revolving around a swapping of A. Nylander and Jesse Puljujarvi, probably with a pick going to the Oilers, or maybe a grinder for Hitch

Oilers had discussion with Markus Lehto, agent for Jesse Puljujarvi today. Team is open to trading him if a proper return can be found, and in the meantime an AHL stint to help boost offence and confidence is being considered. No decisions yet.

You can like the proposal all you want but there is no grounds to even suspect it, let alone say you "wouldn't be surprised" to see the deal. There's no reason to suspect it.

We're more likely to trade Nylander+ to Toronto for Kadri in all honesty

While they’ve both certainly lost value,
I’d say Puljujarvi has dropped more
Being such a high pick, he was expected to be contributing by now
Whereas Nylander can be seen as still developing, even if it’s on a slower track than we’d have hoped

What would the Oilers be looking for?
Nylander still could have some decent offensive upside
I’m sure some teams still view him that way
Does Edmonton?

We don’t even know who their GM is gonna be yet

If we were on NPR Politics blog I would raise an eyebrow too.

I still see Beaulieu being traded for Puljujarvi or Burakovsky with the Sabres adding a pick (maybe a 3rd or a 4th.) All three players seem to need a change of scenery and the Caps have traded for a defenseman every trade deadline for at least nine years.
