Just Fukien with ya. I'm excited to see if he can contribute. He'll take Mangiapanis spot once Beal returns.

Hopefully he gets in tomorrow

Smith is starting against Pittsburgh. Maybe that’s just what this team needs right now, another 9-1 wake up call.

On the plus I’m pretty sure Bennett was offside on that power play goal. Maybe coaches are getting tired of challenging every goal he scores?

Good to see this team sticking up for each other this year.

Yup! Anderson fighting the guy that cross checked Gio who was sticking up for Jhockey.

Dirty birds these Pens.

It's tough watching Gaudreau in a slump. I'm glad our secondary scoring showed up today or else we'd all be crying in our pillows tonight!

The PK left a lot to be desired but everything else was really good. That 3rd pairing has been such a great story for the Flames this season. No way they should consider trading any of our young D.

I wonder if he is not injured. Not playing like he wants the Hart.

I think he's more concerned about Stanley.

If he is actually concerned about winning, then he'd better pull up his britches. Because we won't win much without him playing at his best.

He's still pretty involved, and commands a lot of attention.

Flames are finding out right now what playoff hockey is going to be like. Guys that shied away from being physical on Johnny are not playing nice anymore. Hopefully Tre finds a guy that can reliably be a physical force.

Horquist and McCaan were a couple of punks this afternoon, was really hoping Chucky would let them know what's up

Gaudreau's slump still isn't that bad. 4pts in 4 games on this road trip. All assists but he's still a threat every time he's out there.

Man, is Chiarelli still in Edmonton?

Talbot for Stolarz?
Spooner for Gagner?

Guess they had to clear the cap space for Sekera, but this is a team that shouldn't be in this position to begin with.

Last I checked 4 points in 4 games is pretty good production. Sure it might be a bit low for Johnny but it's not like he's a pylon out there. Let's not start panicking because the team scored some goals without Johnny putting on a multi point night.

Neither trade is really all that bad. It was pretty clear that Talbot wasn't resigning in Edmonton and there was probably zero interest in him either. Stolarz is better than nothing and could end up being an NHL goalie.

Spooner for Gagner is pretty much nothing for nothing. I think Gagner is the better player though. The crazy thing about that one is I just found out Gagner is only 29. If you had asked me before today, I would have guess he was at least 34. Seems like he's been in the league forever.

Well, with Talbot, it's sell low or not at all. Trade deadline is a week away and I doubt anyone was calling about a 31 year old coming off two bad seasons. Stolarz might also be a capable backup next year, so that trade was fine.

Trading Spooner was a nothing trade, and his value isn't going up probably ever. They're also buying low on Gagner as well.

To Ottawa:
2019 First
Oliver Kylington
Michael Frolik
One of Austin Czarkik or Andrew Mangiapane

To Calgary:
Mark Stone

The First and Kylington are obvious.
Frolik because I don't know where he slots in if Stone is here. He is still a good player, and Ottawa still does need to make a cap floor. Also Calgary will need cap room this off season.
Czarnik or Mangiapane to give more to Ottawa.

All three players they are getting will be roster players that can impact now for Ottawa.

And to be honest if it is needed as a "convincer" for them to take Frolik, or to simply make sure that Winnipeg, Nashville, San Jose or Vegas doesn't get Stone I would put in both Czarnik and Mangiapane.

Really they could recall Dube to replace those two on the 4th line. Even Alan Quine in 9 games has as many goals as Mangiapane and Czarnik conbined. Or Lonberg may give some toughness needed in the playoffs.

Then pursue a bottom pairing vetran defenceman to add some playoff experience to the D-Core. I keep thinking Kronwall out of Detroit but not sure how that works with the cap. Or Adam McQuaid from the Rangers would be easier on the cap and has been through a lot of wars when he was with the Bruins.

And as much as everybody says goalie, goalie, goalie. I really don't see anybody better out there at a cost that won't cripple them for trying to prepare in any other area.

Don't do Panarin, there is at least a chance that Stone would resign. Panarin will never resign in Calgary.

Way too much to give up for a rental, if they are confident they can resign him then go for it but if its to get him for a couple months no thanks
