I mean, I miss the days of some quiet during the stop in play so you could actually talk to people about the game. I get that times change and the whole younger generations have the attention span of gnats but without that the Bulls would have 200 people every game.

NOW, GET OFF MY LAWN!

- Elbows15

It would be nice to have some quiet during stoppages in LIFE....

And during dinners in restaurants.

Could Arizona sneak into the last WC spot and prove Tanner correct?

That would be a dark day.

Billy Smith? Ed Belfour? Those guys created their own respect... a couple more examples.

Running or charging into The Eagle would have been a big mistake on their part. NHL certainly is not condoning blasting into goalies. It's almost worth than that. They are turning a blind eye towards it. If you really want to change the momentum of a 7 game series, just knock a goalie into dust. Deal with the backup, instead.

Good. Don cherry is a dinosaur. Who cares? Their fans seem to enjoy it and isn't that the point of sports? To be entertained?

I hope they do it especially because it bothers some people. Not saying you are one of them. Just used your post to make a point.

I think it's all in good fun. Although, the walk-off homerun celebration would have been better after an OT win.

They aren't doing it to show up their opponent. At least I don't think so. The Carolinas aren't exactly hockey meccas. Cherry struck out on this one.

Chief is a good coach, demands respect, inmates over there are definitely not running the show or they will get his foot up their ass.
Always played the game honest and hard in his time. Exactly how hockey should be played . He wants it the same all the time unlike most coaches that have a regular s as on ballerina level then comes the playoffs expect their team to all of a sudden play in your face type hockey. Several of these charmin toilet paper soft type D men the Hawks and maybe a few forwards would not cut it under Berube.

You forgot to paint the poor guy's head as beet red. Ha! So much for the "we will make the playoffs" spiel. The Wild pulled the rug out from underneath him. Another B/P spike soon to follow.

Just an observation but really thought there would be more activity this weekend or at the least more rumors not only with the hawks but around the league.

Here is a proposed trade:

AA to Carolina for

Funny as hell. All true fans everywhere can empathize with the guy. Standing alone with your sword ready to fight to the death. And, no one shows up. We've had more than a few of those when we were sulking over Q. The players, I mean.

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Sens are re-engaged in discussions with Stone on a new deal. They are making Matt Duchene available now.

When asked why Berube had the Blues playing so well, Doug Armstrong GM said he wasnt exactly sure but knew that all the players have watched highlights of the Coach as an NHL player on Youtube and know what he's capable of doing when he gets pissed off. Figures they are terrified of pissing him off.

I am sure all of you guys, or some of you guys had heard the story told from Jeremy Roenick, how he maybe threw a questionable hit at Craig Berube when he was playing for the coyotes, and the chief was on the flyers for his second stint ,He did not forget that hit. Actually he got even for it.
How? When Roenick was then traded to the Flyers, he walked in the locker room and who does he see there but Craig Berube , The next thing that happened was JR got a bust in the chops, and Berube said to him "now we're even "and shook hands.
As told by JR and one of his intermission interviews.

I don't know about you Rick, when he was a player I love the guy, the way he played hard nose, yes sure he wasn't a big scorer but he kept players honest. Which is all I ask for this team here to acquire a couple players that do the same.
I am trying to get a read on this new coach, I do not believe he is all about playing soft. I think once the season ends he'll be able to put a stamp on what type of players he wants for next year and who is expendable. This is just the period of what I call "sifting through the garbage " and seeing what he can keep and get rid of.
He inherited most of these powder puff defenseman. I bet he will have something to say moving forward going into next season. Sorry but 63 is baby crap soft also for being 6"3, I think he's about had enough 42., 28 is a high draft picks that was drafted before he was the coach, but read between the lines and what he is saying about him also, that he plays scared out there, now granted the kid is only 19 years old so I guess we got to give them a room to grow. And if it wasn't for Gus's offense of abilities he probably be walking him up to the launching pad also.

Unless the Sens get a king’s randsom in return the move to acquire Duchene was a massive blunder. Almost as bad as some of the moves Stan made.
