it's just weird that last year there was so much talk of McDonagh only has one year left on his deal and the Rangers should move him now and so much less with Kreider - jimbro83
two years different is age gap. Kreids also built like brick poop house with no past injuries like Mac |

Only possible way I see Kreider moved is if it was a ridiculous over payment. I'm 99.9 percent sure he isn't going anywhere - mdw7413

I dont think that's correct
you can only have two trades on the books where you retain money at one time, but I dont think there's a limit on buyouts - jimbro83
There is an initial buyout period, then a second if a player or club elects arbitration, even if they agree on deal prior to the arbitration hearing. |

I think cause Kreids looks like he is finally getting it and rightly or wrongly last year a lot of us thought Mac might be on the downside of his career. |

I'm probably in the minority here but I'd like to see Zuc back next year. A team friendly contract could work and maybe even as Captian! If we can send hi for a top prospect would be good. Hayes to Winnipeg for Vesalainen will work! A fast scoring winger! I think that would be a good trade for both sides and if Hayes wats to come back at another team friendly deal so be it. Namestnikov, McQuade, get what you can get in picks. I read that Tampa was in the market for a right shot d man. Send them Shatty for a pick/ prospect and retain half salary. Brenden Smith....oye vey! What ever we can do to out from that contract will be well worth it. Back to Zuc. He is the key that run this engine and would be/ is the heart n soul that makes this team go. |

beyond this season, Tampa can't afford that contract even at half salary |

Its really not about seeing Zuke back, he's pretty much a fan favorite. Would you come back to a team thats rebuilding and will be worse next year, at his age? |

no they cant, they need to get rid of Cally completely to handle the extension they gave Gourde |

In that highly unlikely scenario Cally wouldve been the only possible solution |

Gonna have to sign a couple top 6 guys. I just don't see it in the cards next year. 2020-2021 I see them being able to compete again |

In Zuke's case, I think it's very likely he re signs even if he's traded. Some guys, just are comfortable w/ staying in city that they've played their whole career, and chasing a cup isn't top on their priority list. Just ask OEL w/ the Coyotes. He didn't even test out market as a UFA |

I guess anything is possible, and I guess it wouldn't surprise me, but I if I had to put odds on it, Zuke might stay with a team thats competitive. He seems like a guy who would be a fan favorite where ever he goes. |

Oilers and Flyers in a holding pattern on Cam Talbot trade. As mentioned on Insider Trading last night, Anthony Stolarz likely in the return if they close the deal. RFA goalie end of the year.
10:58 AM - 15 Feb 2019
I don't understand why the Flyers would do this. Stolarz and Talbot are the same type of player. Yet Stolaz has the abilty to get better, while Talbot is clearly getting worse. |
