It won't get easier, and I really don't know the prospect but is it his first year playing with much older players ? I haven't seen splits or anything which would factor into my consideration. - golfingsince
Well these are some comparables from Dmen that have been drafted out of that same league with similar points. It only tells part of the story but still....take from it what you will.
Philip Broberg - 36 games 1g 7A 8 its
Filip Johansson - 41 /1g/2a/3pts drafted 24th
Martin Ferhervary 41gms 1g 6a 7pts drafted 46th
Gustav Lindstrom 48 gas 2g 7a 9 its drafted 38th
Oliver Kylington 17 gas 4g 3a 7pts drafted 60th |

Benning is the opposite of Bill Belichik. BB always moves on when guys have peak value for the most part obviously excluding brady. He knows some other play for way less money can do almost the same job and can focus money somewhere else. 6 superbowls won. Benning holds onto everyone unt they are worthless and gets nothing cause they are a good player for them. We are approaching Edmonton badness being bottom of the league what 6 out of 7 years is? Please dont defend how Edmonton is worse then us because its obvious both teams are very bad and managed poorly. |

Donāt know why we care if Edmonton is worse, just if JB is doing the right things to make the team better.
Agree with your comparison of JB vs Belichek in valuing and replacing players. Leagues arenāt the same (no guarantee on NFL salaries vs locked in contracts for NHL players). Iād like more JB to be quicker to make change.
As Vantel rightly calls out...why not embrace change...can they really be worse? |

Change? Sutter, Edler, Tanev are untradable. Who do you want gone? This is a long process. |

I wasnāt asserting JB has to act now. Bill B makes a lot of change in the offseason / preseason, not the second half of the season. Yes, JB did bring in Beagle, Schaller, Roussel...but he also kept one of the worst D groups in the league intact.
My hope is that thae D group is rebuilt during the coming offseason...with all the injuries, I think this TDL might be a lost opportunity. |

nfl rosters are way larger and more fluid which allows greater opportunity for moneyball type players making an impact in any given year. plus you're never really tied down to anyone long term outside of qb's.
naturally leads to a more ruthless approach, but undoubtedly bellichek is the best at it.

I believe NFL doesn't have guaranteed contracts where you can fire Eriksson out of a canon with his contract

Unless a portion was guaranteed, which is kind of like the NMC. |
