The crazy thing is he is only being paid 9.5m per year once his extension kicks in.

Wins a cup with Anaheim, they’ve done nothing since. Took the Flyers to the finals, they’ve been terrible. Gets his contract traded to the Coyotes. They miss the playoffs since 2013.

They'll most likely do what they did with Kucherov (signed him to a bridge after his ELC).

Sign a bridge deal for around 3 years around 5 (adjusting cap), perhaps a little bit higher since Point is having a better 3rd season into the league, as well as a better PPG average.

I'd say 3 years at 5.5m per would be a safe bet.

It's Tampa Bay, the same team that has Kucherov, Hedman, and Stamkos locked up on bargain deals IMO.
