This was a thing ??? ....news to me - Alexzanki
I think it's about as much a thing as Bobrovsky and Panarin being packaged together for Huberdeau. Bad rumors are bad. |

Oilers are in cap hell right now. Only reason Fletcher is entertaining the trade is getting a pick back. There's no long term interest in Talbot IMO. |

Terrible timing. Chia couldn't last out the season eh? Would have been amazing to see Talbot for Zaitsev. Stone two birds in leafland with that one, we need a backup who can actually stop the odd puck. |

Don't doubt what's reported but if Fletcher is making moves like this then he's an idiot. He needs to worry about figuring out how he's going to be his Dmen going forward since we are overflowing with prospects who seem to be ready and finding another elite forward to replace Wayne.
To be making deals in the one area where they are performing well is ridiculous. - Pelle31
Why the hell wouldn't he do this if he can get something back with Talbot for helping Edmonton clear cap space? Seems like a no brainer; get a capable back up who might get hot and is buddies with our starter and maybe a pick for a goalie who's been on IR pretty much all season.
Also are you saying Wayne is an elite forward right now? I love Simmer but he hasn't been very good all year. |

Honestly, I don't see why the Flyers need him. I'd just let Stolarz be the backup. If you are worried about Stolie getting hurt, there are a million Dustin Tokarski's in this world that you can let rot in the minors and bring up in a pinch |

I'm calling BS. Stolarz and Hart have played very well together as a tandem and there's zero reason to make a trade now for a backup. Those are the two guys going forward. There are much larger issues to tackle than what the strength of the team has been the last month or so - Pelle31
You're right, how ridiculous. Its not like one is a rookie and the other hasn't had major surgery on the same knee twice before the age of 25. Or that the one currently rehabbing isn't rehabbing the same injury he had last year. Hmmmmm, I wonder why anyone would want a healthy goaltender... |

There's no need for him, but if you can scoop up an asset to swap one injured UFA goalie you don't need for a different healthy UFA goalie you don't need, why not? Plenty of cap room so that's not an issue. Plus that trade would let us break the record for most goalies started in a year. |

I get what you are saying, I just think if you are going to roll with Stolie, just let him play this season. I'm all for collecting lottery tickets, I'm just not sure Edm would give more than a mid round pick at best. |

I don't disagree, but Elliott is back on a conditioning stint with the Phantoms, so he's gonna be coming up in the near future anyways and it'll be that same situation. |

Carolina, that's who you should trade Elliott too. They can't buy a save. Calgary would be an interesting destination as well. |

That would be better, try to get something a little more tangible, but still, this is like finding a pile of cash on the street, however much it is, its more than you had before. |

It even looks like bullpoop when he says it lol. "We've been talking about the idea" and "...and i'm wondering if Jonathan Huberdeau could be one of the chips..."
Not even using the "sources" lingo, which generally means it's him trying to get airtime with a rumor. |

I still can't believe that the Av's are never mentioned whenever goalie rumours fire up.....seriously, they are comfortably in a playoff spot if they even would have had mediocre goaltending. - Barx
They only get their goalies from Washington, so unless Holtby or Copley are available their only other option is to wait for Michal Neuvirth to get healthy and trade for him (and we know that aint happening). |
