The word "boring," or some variation thereof, was used often last night on social media and in chat rooms and it's hard to understand the driving force behind someone's decision to watch and follow a team. Would you rather see an entertaining 6-5 loss or a boring 3-1 win?

I could care less how they win, if they have to play a style of hockey that is boring and they win, then so be it. The NJD played a horribly boring style of hockey that won them multiple cups. I think we all could live with that.....

That clip you posted made it look like it was filmed on previously used VHS tapes

Didn't exist yet at that time.

We had this thing on our TV about 5 years later.

I think Pach just took a direct shot at me because I suggested that after the Carolina loss. OK, I probably deserve it. A win is always better than an entertaining loss.

BTW - I thought Larsson was the #2 star after Ullmark. Great game by him and the 4th line overall.

not directed at you specifically, just what I saw in general last night...I also went back to my buffalosabresnow blogs from 2011 and the same thing was going on back then

If the choice is win boring, or lose fun, the answer is win.

But I'd rather win fun and lose fun than win boring and lose boring

From last blog:

Minnesota may be sellers at the deadline, and if they are I wouldn't mind calling about Staal. Could come right in as our 2nd line center and has familiarity with both Skinner and Pommer. Being a 34 y/o UFA compared with others that may be available, I would not think it would cost too much.

Dadead- good retort on the last blog with stahl's/skinners point totals.

Well played. Great information

- Boss34

Thanks!

Staal has played 670 of 689 gp in that span(he had an 83 game season when traded fro Car to NYR)

Skinner is 635 of 678.

It avgs out to 64 pts in 81 gp for Staal to 52 pts in 77 gp for Skinner.

I agree 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% sadly I don't think we have the talent to jump 2 teams right now.

CBJ will fall out. We just have to beat Carolina in. 1 point behind with 2 games in hand

Look at that smile!

When you talk about politics, Billy Dee Williams gets sad, and that's not fun for anyone

But, good post in regards to stahl's familiarity with pommer and skins.
