Fans seem to like two things - winning, and the hope of future winning. Hopefully with some new drafted players and prospects added through trades the hope for future winning will make them fun to watch.
People seem to have such short memories as well. Sens have a decent history of winning after a horrible start to the league. Although the owner sucks, they have been competitive over the past few years, and they should be able to rebuild and be competitive again in a 3-4 years maybe? That has happened to ALOT of teams, Pittsburgh, Chicago, LA, Colorado and not to mention those horrendous years of TO, and the current state of EDM.
Its not currently great, but not as bad as it could be, and not the end of the world. - CaliNewf
Very true ... when you remove both, there's no incentive to support a team any longer. |

I have been a fan since year 2 of the Sens but I'm still a bigger Habs fan. Habs and Sens are/were my teams as they were almost neck and neck in terms who I cheered for, but I always stood up for the Sens even when Habs fans would bash the team.
With all that has happened over the summer up until now, the gap between my teams have spread pretty far apart. No longer do I stick up for the Sens as they are an absolute garbage and an embarrassment professional organization. I still like the players as it's not their fault for the on ice product, although I think Dorion likes to shift blame to everyone but him or his master.
I loved Karlsson, Alfie, Stone and many other star players who have left this team over the years during the Melnyk's tenure. As much as I like Stone, I want to see him win because he will not win here. And my advice to any other budding Sens superstar is to get to UFA status and leave this team for greener pastures This IS a loser organization as it sits right now.
Nothing last forever, not sure how much longer Melnyk will be here. Maybe 20 more years? Who knows, but I'll be right back as a fan and supporter of this team once Melnyk is gone and out of the organization |

I'll never stop watching 82 games a season. Unless we relocate. Then I'm out. Immediately. It would be too devastating. I'd probably stop following hockey at all for a few years.
My love for my team is stronger than my hate towards Melnyk. I just want to see our players give 100% every night. If we went 0-82-0 next year. I'd still watch every game. I just want to see the boys try. If Melnyk and Dorion choose to put an AHL team on the ice, it's still a Sens team. And I will always support any player that wears that jersey. It's not the players' fault management and ownership suck.

I literally stop watching very early in the season. I believe I've only watched maybe 5 games. As long as Melnyk is the owner I will not watch or attend a game anymore... and that is coming from a former die-hard fan. I literally watched every game and even went as far as PVRing the games I went to live and watched them when I got home to get a different perspective. I knew our farm system like the back of my hand plugs vs. prospects, truly lived and breathed the Ottawa Senators. Melnyk killed that!!!!! |

Stopped at start of season. Watched nothing this year. If they resign Duchene and Stone I'll consider supporting again. Management has earned nothing from the fan base in the meantime. |

I still watch, but won’t buy tickets. I will again when the owner and management group show commitment to winning and not cost cutting. |

Win or lose I will always watch but I just hope that if/when Stone, Dzingle, Duchene get traded, that we get quality over quantity, there have been too many trades where we get rid of a star player for pennies on the dollar (Karlsson, Spezza, Hoffman, Heatley). |
