When we laughed, my buddy said, "Better than nothing". One of my other friends we were with - a true northerner, said "No it's not".

What AA didn't know was that Price would suck during the playoffs. If Price had lived up to his expectations then we would probably be talking about how the Jays won the World Series that year.

There's no way that Doobie sells the farm like AA did. It's easy to forget that the Leaf core is still very, very young and has a long way to go.

I think they would have won the World Series if they had someone other than D*ickie on staff. Or if Cecil didn’t get hurt. Or if Goins didn’t drop that ball while Price was pitching. Such sad memories.

I think you are right but get nervous when I hear Kypreos etc insist they need to go for it right now. “The talent level will never be higher” blah blah blah

No, it really was on Price. He would do the same thing to Boston when he went there.

Don't listen to anything Kypreos says. The man is an idiot that has no clue about what's going on.

On another news, Pastrnak had a surgery on his finger. Chance of leafs vs Habs first round went up slightly.

Like leafs’ chance a lot better with Habs than Boston.

I had an uncle that lived north of Sault Ste Marie and ran into a moose on a logging trail on his property. I just went around a curve and there it was, standing on the road eating some weeds that were growing there. I stopped the ATV (yeah, not even a car) looked at the moose, and it looked at me. I put the ATV in reverse to get out of there and the moose looked at me as if to say 'Good idea'.

I've ran into bears in situations like that and I'm not really afraid of them. They are as anxious to get out of the situation as you are. Moose, on the other hand, know they are the boss and will trample you out of spite.

Moose are blind as poop.

Going through Algonquin Park pre dusk can be chaotic. Used to pass through there with my dad in a semi and the moose don’t even get out of the way. They’re hard to see.

Tread lightly. Ours has the ability to clear a room in seconds - worst smell in the history of smells. And it can stick to you and wedges itself up your nose. It's a horrible, evil, vile excretion that defies imagination.

Philly just got a 4 minute penalty for high sticking. Minnesota player high sticked his own teammate. Amazingly bad call.

It’s funny how the pundits never say these things about Winnipeg, Colorado, Tampa and other teams who have high end rfa’s on expiring contracts. Why didn’t they all sign their players before the season?
- shack67

those teams had to keep CAP flexibility in order that they could each offer sheet one of the Leafs players...

i) Toronto is just dumb.. .never does anything correct - always behind the eight ball
ii) Toronto gets all the calls from the officials
iii) Toronto get overtly positive coverage ALL THE TIME from the media
iv) Hughson and Simpson love the Leafs
v) Toronto sports media are super smart and have ALL the inside information

the above five points are commonly held beliefs outside of Leaf nation - and genuinely are fake news.
